Rai Benjamin always expressed how much he hates it but I’m pretty sure he’s encouraged runners to consider timezone changes and adjust as needed before travel! He also emphasized rest, lots of it!

Just wanted to say thank you to you and Mica for inspiring me to run! Both of your channels give me the motivation to keep going and look past the negative self doubting thoughts that tend to creep in, especially as a beginner runner. Plz continue to drop long videos like this gem, here😅 oh and btw definitely go for the blue one!

You probably already know this, Adam, but those SiS gels have only about 1% sodium in them (check out the nutritional label on the back), so definitely not enough electrolytes for during the marathon. If you ever have trouble with cramping late in a marathon, this could be one reason why. Make sure you take a bunch of Gatorade or other electrolyte drink if offered during the race. If not, then you might want to find a gel with more electrolytes. Most gels also don’t have potassium which is also super important for not cramping up. That’s why I carry a potassium gummy with me for my marathons.

Hey Adam, I'm a non elite runner and your videos are inspiring. I have two questions that are probably stupid but a novice like me doesn't know. 1. How strong are your legs for your body weight? Like is that why you run so fast for so long? Or is it your body's ability to process lactate? 2. How does your MP actually compare to your 5K or 10K pace? You said you were nervous in this video, so it makes me think MP shouldn't necessarily be easy... would you say that's true? One other suggestion as an Ironman athlete... check out precision fuel and hydration gels if you haven't before. I know it's too late for this build but in the future maybe you try them

Hi Adam (and everyone else), I have a question. I am currently studying in Europe and my PBs are 5k: 19:04, HM: 1:35. I have the chance to study abroad at Arizona State (ASU) next year and I think it would be really cool to try to join their xc team. Do you think I can get up to that level by the end of summer? Any tips or workout suggestions to help?
@AdamWoodRunsКүн бұрын
Rule #1- Stay Consistent and don’t get injured (easier said than done). You could go up 10 or so miles a week than what you normally do and try and run your long runs at a moderate pace instead of easy but I’d only do those things if you can stay healthy
@rubenszabo54815 сағат бұрын
@@AdamWoodRuns Thank you so much! I've managed to not get injured so far, I'm slowly raising my milage and I'll incorporate some moderate fast runs. Your videos keep me motivated, thank you and good luck at Valencia!
