These video shows the process of making a router table attachment for the SawStop contractor saw (CNS175-TGP) using the Rockler Pro Router lift (#55803). If you have a different saw or router lift and want to make this, you will need to modify some aspects, however the same principles should apply.
Tools I used:
Router lift - www.rockler.com/rockler-pro-l...
Table saw - www.rockler.com/sawstop-contr...
Router - www.rockler.com/dewalt-dw618m...

I have watched about 15 before building my own and this is by far the best with using the rabbit to droop the plate in and the dust collection shroud with drawer, well done

Great work on this mod! This is helping guide my upcoming saw purchase as I see more and more content on adding a router table to a wing and will incorporate that option into my choice. Love the mellow build environment. Very inspiring.

This is a very timely video, as I just installed a new router table top for a new router lift. I got stuck on cutting the lip for the insert. I'm ready to move forward now !! Now on to the dust collector box ... !!

I got it from my local sheet goods dealer here in NYC. You may be able to find smaller pieces online though it'll be more expensive

Great Video - Any reason why you couldn't have installed this on the right side of the saw ? I am in the process of getting a SS CNS and would like to integrate a router table. With the location of the saw in my small shop - having the table on the left would be a little awkward. thanks !
@JTWoodworks
@JTWoodworks 3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely possible! It made sense for shop and setup to have it in this location. Most router tables in table saws are on the left side but this better served my workflow

Hi Johnnie - great video, thank you for making the plans available. How has the router lift held up for you? How often do you use it?
@JTWoodworks

I use it fairly often (a few hours a month) and it's held up great! It still functions the same way as the day I made it

Did you fasten the top somehow, or is it just sitting on top/gravity? I noticed you have the same annoying 'high bolts' that connect the wing to the cast iron top as my saw does. Makes it hard to build something that can be all glued and screwed up, but can also be removed from the saw when necessary.
@JTWoodworks
@JTWoodworks 3 жыл бұрын
I didn't show it in the video but I ended using trim screws to fasten the top down. One on each corner and barely countersunk. Keeps it looking clean
@richardlug6139

It has been almost 2 years now how has the melamine top held up? Is it still flat? I heard that you should double up the top so it will not sag from the weight of the router, but in your case maybe the dust collector box added enough rigidity for support.
@JTWoodworks
@JTWoodworks 2 жыл бұрын
It's holding up really well. Not much warping or sagging at all. Doubling up the top might help but yes that box definitely adds a ton of support

Also can I keep the mobile base with this mod? Since the SawStop add-on is not compatible with the base.

@@Sagatto I'm not familiar with that model so I'm not sure if there would need to be any changes made to the design. I'm not familiar with the mobile base so I'm not sure if that would work either. Sorry I can't be much help here
