I just wanna put this out there. Many monoblock amps can recieve full range singal, split it so the mono takes a low cut singal out and send out another, separate full range to another amp. If your radio has RCA outputs, converters are not really necessary. This means that, unless your build is preformance, you can daisy chain multiple amps from one fullrange signal. Just makes it easier for new people to get better quality sound. You'll just have to send more time tuning the system

May have to get one of these. Have used the $20 Kicker, Rockford Prostate and Metra 2 channel LOC's both passive and powered and they really mute the signal to a sub. Deleting them all and plugging directly into the speaker level inputs of the amps always produces a much better and louder signal for subwoofers.

Yes, you can snag your input signal for your LC2i PRO from an OEM subwoofer, rear speakers, front speakers, etc. Won't make much difference, as long as the signal you tap into has the needed frequencies present. Fyi: Always fuse the power wire on both sides of all batteries. 2 batteries equals 3 fuse blocks minimum. And in your case, just 1 batt in rear, instead of using a distribution block under hood, should use a fuse block imo. I even fuse block my alternator power wires mainly because my alt is 390 amps. Tips I learned from JeepAndBass videos.

Heya! I know this video is a bit older, and I may not get a response. I just recently installed an amp (jl audio vx1000/1i) and 2 jl audio subwoofers (10tw3-8) in a stealthbox in my 2019 ram limited with the Harmon/kardon system. I used the lc2i pro to get the signal for my amp. After setting up the threshold I noticed that when my volume was low and/or a song wasn’t terribly “bassy” my subwoofers wouldn’t play at all. In some cases they would play a bit during heavy bass, then skip notes or stop playing within the same song when the level of bass was more variable. I turned the threshold all the way up to maximum and that fixed my problem, now the subwoofers play at all volume levels and during every portion of the song regardless of the prominence of the bass. I suppose my question is, would there be any negative side effects to turning the threshold to the max? I’ve had the system set up for approximately 2 weeks and I just turned up the threshold tonight, it sounds great, but I’m not sure what the long term effects could be. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
@torrez8144 Жыл бұрын
keeping the threshold all the way to the right will just have accubass on at all times and the level is to adjust how much bass comes from that. you don’t want to have the level all the way to the right cause you would be clipping cause how much bass your giving your subs. so for me i have my bass output level set and then i go to the accubass threshold and have it all the way to the right and then with the level all the way to the left i turn it up till the maximize light turns on and then i back off a little

I am working on improving the sound on my Honda Goldwing F6B right now. I want to mount the audio components underneath the top trunk from a Harley Ultra that I fabricated a mount for. This way, I'm not taking up any precious cargo room from the bike with audio equipment. The amp is easy - I'm gonna be using a marine-grade amplifier - but is there a line level controller that is waterproof or at least able to withstand being exposed to external conditions? The other idea I had was to mount the LC2i-Pro inside of a Tupperware container, and then mount that to the underside of the trunk - but I was worried about heat dissipation issues. Any ideas or suggestions? I would greatly appreciate your advice.
