Kinda surprised you never looped back around to this one, but I'm glad you finally made time to watch it! 'Addict' was one of the early looks a lot of us got at just how _messed up_ Angel was, and how much _pain_ he was hiding behind his snarky, devil-may-care facade -- I know it's where I realized how much he and I had in common, after initially thinking Angel was kind of an ass. (I had a similar early impression of Blitzø, too, funnily enough -- and now I've got about as much Helluverse merch as _you_ do!) To answer your question, the guy who kept popping up in Cherri's side of the music video is, or _was,_ her boyfriend/partner. We don't actually know much of anything about them, or if they're still part of the story as it currently exists -- a lot's changed since this video came out, after all -- but if Season 2 spends any time giving Cherri more time in the spotlight now that she seems to be spending more time at the Hotel, we may learn more about _her_ demons as well! One additional thing: Anthony not only OD'd -- he OD'd on phencyclidine, also known as PCP or, in its snortable form, *_angel dust._* His stage name, the foundation of his entire defensive facade, _is a daily reminder of the mistakes that put him where he is._

I love how they have so much fun destroying Valentino's nightclub, Cherri helping Angel take his power back, but also showing her own pain, now that Anthony is getting so close to his redemption, I would love to see more of her story with that cyclops guy, he's the same type of sinner than her so they could be related. We don't know much about the character shown in Cherri's part of the song. He was originally a demon-hunter named Izzi from the Zoophobia series, but he has since been scrapped from there and put into the Hellaverse. He was going to be one of the primary villains in Zoophobia. Most theories either have him as Cherri's ex or her father.

When I first saw this I teared up so much but at the same time the song is bop. Watching this again after the show I noticed the reference that Val did had only 3 dollars. When this video first appeared and I saw the thumbnail knowing that I'm gonna cry. The music 🎶 was amazing 👏 and I felt so bad for Angel and Cherri to see that they needed the distraction to not break down or look back in the past. I hope we get to see Cherri's past in the next or future seasons. And an animator named Raphielle II who is now an official storyboard artist for Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss made a really good animatic to go along with it.
