Hey Jordan. My name is Preston. I'm 64 years old and developed a rare form of arthritis that has made fishing very hard for me. I used to have a 18 in and out boat set up with a fish finder, trolling motor and down riggers, so finding fish was easy. I got discouraged with the pain of getting in and out of the boat and getting stiff from sitting in the boat for hours. I unfortunately sold my boat and gave up the sport. For years I sat in my recliner and kind of gave up on the outdoors. I have found myself depressed and discouraged. Watching your totorials and a couple others on KZbin got me fired up again. 2 months ago I dug out my gear and have been bank fish. I'm finding it hard because I can't move from place to place. I use crouches and moving all my gear to find a different hole is just to hard. I find a good looking hole whether it lake or river and fish it all day. I'm having a difficult time getting into fish. Do you have any suggestions for me. I'm on social security disability so money is difficult and motorized mobility isn't an option for me. I love just getting outdoors again, but catching some fish would be a nice bonus. Any help and suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. I want to thank you and all your coworkers for the inspiration you've given me to get out of my chair and get outdoors. Blessings to all of you for your work and bringing videos to help fisherman all over. GREAT WORK GUYS! Looking forward to hearing from you. Preston

@david , Thanks David. It's just fun being out in nature again. A fish is only a bonus on top of all the wonderful things being outdoors brings. The fresh air, interesting sights, wildlife. It's a great! A loose line is great, a tight line would just be greater. Thanks David. Preston

I was at Costco today and bought the "Addicted winter chrome kit" / Mustad. Haven't fished steel head since the 60's. The kit has a lot of strange hooks and bobbers you shown on this video. Thanks for all the tips and getting me out of my chair. Very much looking forward to starting fishing 1st of year. Thanks (Oregon's rivers are the best)

Any tips for fishing deeper holes with a float? I feel I'll miss the middle of the hole, 15-20 ft deep, where I hook the most fish drift fishing. Is the answer drift the deep stuff and bobber the tail out section? Thanks!

If I'm not using braided line, what's the best solution? Swivel from main line to leader and attach the float to the leader?
@danielpedraza93284 жыл бұрын
I need help! I use a thill slip bobber but I've had issues lately with the line not running thru the top of the bobber once it hits the water even with a small weight to pull down the bait. I use 17 pound test line. Is it because the top of the bobber not open enough?
@tristenbarnes1866 Жыл бұрын
Could these work with floating beads ? Or would you prefer a different bobber?

Does anyone have recommendations for how to save your float if you happen to snag up with this setup? I usually break off at the double uni.
@nathanleigh4306 Жыл бұрын
I just bought one of these so I’m not an authority, but I’m thinking you could just drop down a size or two flourocarbon for the last couple feet of your leader system, as long as the float was above the knot joining that last section.
@AJ_Ohio3 жыл бұрын
Great video..one question though, with a fluoro bumper if you get snagged, the line breaks at the knot and you lose the float..would it be a good idea to add a lighter leader to the bumper with a swivel?

Hi dudes, greetings from Denmark. I think it's a dope vid and dope setup you got going there. It doesen't always have to be complicated to be effective. Fishing rivers this way is a very overlooked method of fishing here. I'd really like to purchase that float and maybe some jigs and wigglers. Havent been able to find the Addicted balsa fixed float system anywhere here unfortunately, neither any webshops which ships it to Denmark. If ya'll know of somethink or some good links, help me out boys. :)
