Speckled Trout are absolutely, the most beautiful inshore fish. There is nothing like landing a nice one in my humble opinion.

When you were guessing the length on that big trout, i figured i'd give you a tip. ya know, return the favor. take a tape measure and a paint pen and mark your rod every 5 inches starting at the 15 mark. you can also throw in 18 and 27 for reds and 28 and 32 for snook, if you want. it really helps when you're in the water like that, you can take your fish, lay his tail at the butt of the rod and see where the nose sits. Great fish, as always.

hey blair just had to let you know I finally took my Flats Blue offshore rod fishing yesterday I went to the pier caught a few weakfish, whiting and trout but my best thing i caught was a 13 pound Black Drum and the rod held up perfectly and I really liked that while it was strong and powerful it still had a fairly light tip when I took my 1oz DOA shrimp and jigged that everything I got when I meet you at dicks worked like a charm thank you for helping me out and if I get a Mogan you will know

CAPT Nichols is awesome. I didn't like him much at first, but I warmed up to him and learned some stuff. His DOA videos on his baits are like going to a college fishing lab. I can tell he loves what he does and is quite the conservationist. His use of hardware insulation in an airhead is simplicity incarnated. Good on ya, sir!

i live in massachusetts where the main fish i fish for are Largemouth bass and brook trout but i recently went on vacation to myrtle beach and caught my first speckled sea trout on a half ounce rootbeer gold flake DOA shrimp, i also was using my antique mitchell spinning reel and its probably was the first fish on that reel since the sixties and it was quite a fight keep up the amazing videos!

Hey dude! well. let me just start off with saying that fishing is my passion. It is what i want to do for a living! I love going out to Galveston bay or matagorda bay anytime i possibly can. i go ever Saturday when i do not have work, i dont care what the conditions are. i always catch fish whenever i go which makes me think that i could possibly do something with this. I would like to join tournaments but they just cost wayyy too much and idk who would be my partner in them. I am 17 years old.

I'm sorry wrong lure. Your usin' D.O.A. Shrimp. I hooked a Mogan Seat/Trout with a Red King Redfish Spoon the other day(can't mention the spot) but he shook himself off the spoon. Was an upset fisherman. It was a sad moment on that day. But oh well you learn and move on. Didn't land him but the Gold Spoons are fun to use to. Love the D.O.A. Shrimp the best though. Sea/Trout Candy is what I call them. Good show Mr. Mogan Man!!

The it depends on how the current is. If you have current throw a 1/8 ounce jig on it's and just jig and real up the slack jig and repeat. Don't go nuts with the jig just a short swift jig will do
