Currently, I am using a NEW way of making up beds for either my Mazda MPV campervan OR inside the Napier SUV tent. I bought single inflatable air mattresses. I insert each single air mattress deflated (flat) inside a single non tapered (rectangle shaped) sleeping bag. Inflate air mattress. Sleeping bag restricts width so height of mattress is highest size. Sleeping bag adds insulation protection to air mattress.

My brother cut out particle board to conform to dash area and lay across the 2 front seats in my Ford E 150 he still needs to cut it in half and connect it with a piano hinge so it can be folded in half when not in use for easier storage.

I saw a woman put the passenger seat all the way to the dash recline it then put something soft under dash to hold her pillow then sleep with her feet over the headrest use a camping mattress and soft comforter to fill in odd area's the armrest has to be up left then push the bed mattress up then down to fit tight . My hubby tried it 😮

Our bed is 48" wide and 6' long which is perfect. It looks like you and I are the same size. We sleep very comfortably. We're in a Dodge Grand Caravan full-time.

You would probably have to put some kind of foam mattress on front seat to be comfortable in any way.

Yes, was going to use the same cushion as I used on the floor. Using 2 sections, but only good for a child!

Thanks! This gave me ideas. I did cut a full size foam mattress to fit my minivan, then changed my mind. I used spray adhesive and put the mattress back together and it was fine.

I had it easy my bff slept across the front seat. Once she out there no waking her. But i think this time i am going to put full sized futon mattress down so we both can sleep in back. Just got to figure out storagae.. or im going get the air mattress that is made to sleep in back seat of a car.

I've always been curious about those back seat air mattresses. They look super comfy! I've thought about using that front seat bed permanently. Then maybe putting one of those folding foam chair beds in the back for a second sleeper. But I store so much under my bed and not sure where that stuff would go. Maybe a cube storage shelf? 🤔

The 25 inches was not wide enough for me. I had that on the main bed and felt like I would fall off 😫. I upgraded to the 31 inch and it’s perfect. I can sleep on the 25 inch on the floor okay and feel safe about not rolling off since there is no where to roll. Thanks for subscribing and watching!
