Awesome instructions Sir. My Mother in laws Pilot would be perfect for this. My only issue is looking down to follow navigation. Wish it was more eye level.

Thanks! Having the screen down low is not ideal but I find I mostly listen for directions and only occasionally look down at the map. It actually works out ok.

If you mean the power for the subwoofer amp, I believe I just tapped into the ACCessory power since I only want it to be on when the car is on. Then the ground just goes to the common ground.

Did you lose the factory subwoofer? I've read that when you replace the head until, you lose the sub.

Just go to time 11:05 in the video. I cover it there. The sub works fine though it requires a small amp with this Sony unit. Perhaps others have a powered output.

Check at time 11:05. I went through it quickly but it mostly covers what I did. I didn't mention the power but I just globbed onto the same accessory power that I used for the Sony unit.

Ah, sorry - California! Besides KZbin videos, there are lots of useful postings on the piloteers.org website. One great thing about owning an older car is that someone has already posted info on just about anything you want to do!

It's really not too bad! Also, if you don't want to deal with the wiring harness, I found out that Crutchfield will make one for you if you buy the audio unit from them.

I don't think I saw one either. I haven't measured it but it is likely because the nav head unit does not adhere to the DIN sizing and mounting standard. Thus, there might be space in that area but the mounting of it will need to be custom. It seems doable but I don't know if anyone has done it!
