Those are so excellent!!! The lighting effect with the red gel looks so authentically like old-fashioned red glass candleholders!

Love the cheap vs expensive format for those of us without 3d printers!

Our local library has a 3D Printer. They only charge for the filament usage, and provide all kinds of tech advice. Gotta love a library!

I like the idea of proposing low budget and high budget

I like in this video. You show how a DIY-er can make something like this with random items. Visualization really helps a lot of people

Clear plastic from window-style packaging would work for the "glass," and either a cellophane sleeve for the color, or alcohol inks (applied to the inside of the plastic so it won't be affected by the weather). I really like the low/high budget presentation.

You're wrong-that's far more than 'a little bit of creativity', that's ingenious. Those are gorgeous.

I really like the Hi/Low budget methods options! That's a great way to present a project.

Love the post Halloween posting man, keep em coming. I just got a place and I’m turning the backyard into a year round graveyard but respectfully recreating or creating tombstones for my lost family members with their birthday and death dates. Both a chance to remember them and a way to achieve the aesthetic that I want. Love your channel

OMG I’ve been collecting items to make one of these. Been wanting to do it for a while. Never thought about the lighting gels. Great idea. I recently found a red glass candle holder to use.

At my museum, I've used color plastic wrapping (for gifts) as color cells for some led lights in a diorama. The will fade with everyday use, but probably fine for one night a year. The more layers will darken it up, where as less layers of the material will make the light brighter. That's probably the solution for your blue light lantern.

That’s a great option and likely less expensive than lighting gels. Thanks for the suggestion!

Great idea, thanks for sharing your work. FYI, you can put the brass tubing in a drill and it will speed up the cutting process..

I have seen people use the Air compressor can dust blower to cool the hot glue. Just not sure its sold in Cali. You flip it upside down causing it to shoot out a freeze.

That definitely would’ve been the smarter way to handle it.

Love this. I am happy you get the sponsorship video income, you've earned it, but I do love ones that involve more basic tools. Especially when you show both options. Sometimes I don't care what it costs because ... drama ... creative vision and other times I think hmmmm grounds for divorce, budget option 😊

These are super cute! Is there any reason, other than “high budget, that you used the brass tubes rather than dowels?

The finish was the only real reason.

I was wondering if you could could give me some tips on how to give my stone that pop out effect ,do I carve in the pop out or add pieces of foam to give it that look,I've seen other tutorials and some of their stones look like they just carved it right out of the foam, ide love to learn how to do a stone that has more three dimensional look to it thank you friend

You can do it either way. For the tombstone in the video I removed material to create the raised lettering effect.

I don't have a proper video on the method, but here's a Tiktok video I did many, many years ago that shows me in process: www.tiktok.com/@vanoakspropfoundry/video/6841037643128573190
