1. I thought your original lighting was fine. While you were working on the forget-me-nots the color was easier to see than after you adjusted the light. 2. Your wreath is so beautiful. I was wondering about adding a ribbon somehow, but extremely pleased when you suggested a butterfly in the corner 😊❤ 3. I LOVE your basket and the use of the colorful twine. Gorgeous and useful. 4. Every thing you've taught us is "super cool" 😂❤❤❤. You are a wonderful teacher, patient and crafty and resourceful. Looking forward to the duvet cover transformation ❤❤❤😅

I don’t think you needed to worry about the light. Your wreath is beautiful. I like the fact that you sew like you are painting ie you just add a stitch here and there as if you was adding details using a brush stroke . So natural and confident when you embroider. You are a joy to watch and I try to pick up on your can do attitude. The basket is brilliant too, you just keep on amazing me with your endless talents. You deserve all your subscribers and I’m sure you’ll get many more. You are a lovely talented and interesting lady to follow.

Oh Marion this was another inspiring video and the lighting was very easy on the eyes. We didn’t miss a thing as you explained every detail so well! Also sharing your hints such as balancing the project is very helpful. It’s not so easy for some of us to create our own patterns as you do, so anything you share is very much appreciated! Yes you should definitely do smocking on that pretty duvet. And the basket weaving is such a cute way to use our twine. Your ideas just keep flowing and we are lucky for it. Thank you Marion. And by the way, I enjoy hanging clothes on the line too!

My alarm goes in 4 hours, but this was a treat to end one day, at least watching the half. I plan to do at least one day of stitching, while catching up with videos, just to relax. It will be so lovely. Marion, thank you for sharing how you decide what to put where. Growing up, I only learned to do embroidery with a stamped piece, so doing something without a "pattern" behind, is so foreign to me. This is helpful how you talk about why you are placing things where you are. Enjoy your day! Catherine
@marionsworld245 ай бұрын
I think probably we all did the same thing. I know that is exactly how I learned. Either iron on transfers or with an embroidery kit with instructions... But once you just start you can definitely make something up for yourself. You don't have to have a whole design worked out at the very beginning...it can evolve as each step suggests the next one. Hopefully that's what I'm trying to show...😊🧵🪡
@mareimontalvo27256 ай бұрын
No apologies necessary for the video. It happens to us all. Besides, you're such a good teacher I knew what I need to do just by listening to you. As for the smocking, I learned to smock using checked fabric so I think your duvet cover will be perfect. My Mom made great woven baskets using just fabric twine so that was my.plan for the twine I'm planning on making. See you on Sunday!

Filming on that setting just made the background darker it didn’t detract from the stitching at all. Listening to your thought process and working out how to keep it balanced without putting exactly the same on both sides.❤

When you said dark I thought we would not see anything. And nothing ever happened. Actually at the end I could tell the difference in lighting but no worries. It was all perfect. Now, if j could just embroider like you it would be great! I am still learning and trial and error. But I keep moving forward cause you need practice to get better. Having a cuppa now and thinking of you. My sister in law lived in England for many many years. I inherited all her flannel smocked dresses of her daughter. Omg they were lovely and they went through my 4 daughters and granddaughters and I still have them. It's beautiful work andvtime consuming but you don't see much of it now days. You aeecan amazing seamstress! Is there anything you cannot do? God bless you.
