I’m turning 40 this year. But at 27 I was already collecting antiques. I still LOVE everything old with a story and history. I’ve had to downsize many times. First from my divorce & moving to a very small home. Then when I moved in with my new partner into a small house that already has “his stuff” lol. But I’ll never stop collecting and cherishing all the old!!! 🤗🤗🤗 I love the way you decorate and have gotten so many ideas off you!!!!

Everything looks lovely! I really like your idea of using a wooden mug rack to hold the creamers. What a fantastic idea. I'm always coming across those racks, sans the mugs, at thrift shops. We love that you share your passion with us as well! Love your finds. I have a few antique butter pat dishes as well. All the tinier ones. Love them! My grandmother used them to limit butter. Never worked!! Lol. They always looked so nice on the table. Being an old soul is a gift! So keep shopping for those great antique pieces. I cherish every one I have found myself and the treasures from those who have passed theirs on to me.

Beautiful ironstone collection…love it all. Those are not butter pats. They are smaller…about 3-3 1/2 inches in diameter. Be patient. You will find some. I found four chunky white ones at a thrift store for $1 and two more recently at an estate sale for fifty cents.

I love the simplicity of ironstone. I just sold a bunch of mine, but I love to do groupings on the walls, especially white walls where it adds texture and form without busyness. You do have a beautiful collection going! I’m not sure if it’s true, but an antique dealer once told me that when the glaze started to crack with heavy usage of these dishes, grease from the food would seep under the glaze and cause the discoloration. I’ve never quite looked at crazing the same since then, and maybe that’s not true at all (I googled it-it is true). 😂. But it does still look good, the more crazing the better!! Just think of all that 100-year-old butter, gravy fat and lard! Oh my! 🧐🧐☺️☺️.

I watched your July video with your hutch and I found it so wonderful that I went searching for one on Marketplace. I found a one piece French Provincial style hutch for $65. I was so tickled! We picked it up Saturday evening when my husband got off work! I’ve already painted it and stained the wood part. Next I will antique it and load it up with my ironstone pieces! You have an impressive ironstone collection! I mostly collect Pfaltzgraf “Heritage” collection for myself but if I find any I get it!

The dish you called a soap dish was probably for a smaller side like creamed peas which was a really common side to include for company.

A butter pat a very small round or square ironstone piece. So small it could not be used for anything else.

You have a nice collection! I also collect old white ironstone, I love it too😁. Those little dishes are not butter pats, they would be even smaller in size. Not sure where you are in jersey but the Lafayette mill antiques center does have them around. The dealer on the top floor in the very back, up a few stairs has some stacks of white square shaped butter pats and her prices are great! Good luck!

You could try looking for antique shoe racks from old factories. I had one I sold years ago when I moved. They mirror bakers racks at a lesser price.

Your arrangement looks gorgeous. That gravy boat and those tiny pitchers are to die for. I don't think those are butter pat plates, Butter pats are much smaller, they look more like tea bag and spoon rests. There are also bone plates, the are kind of half moon shaped. A lot of really nice dish sets have bone plates. Great video as always.
