Thanks Morning Brew for my daily news perk - sign up for free here cen.yt/mbalexmeyers5 I hope you all like the video. These videos take a long time to make, so I'm always worried that by the time I get to a new movie or show, it'll be too late. I mean, look at this one. Everyone got their videos out like last week. So if you enjoyed the video even a little bit, maybe send it to a friend or something? Anyway, either way, thanks for watching

Bro, when my man was replaying how Addison/Padget acts when Tanner/Cameron was talking about his Mom passing is so CRINGE! Like WTC (What in The Cringe) did I just watched. 1/10 haven't even seen it, but just scrolling on Netflix, seeing the trailer, and Alex's is review, it just sounds and looks stupid. Remaking a classic with horrible writing and cast, what was the casting person thinkin? Edit: I love Tanner, but why did he had to do the film?

ok but in the movie why was padget embarrassed of her mom being a nurse tho? isn't that a respectable job? especially during this whole covid thing-
@PaulinaHerries
@PaulinaHerries 3 жыл бұрын
It's never explicitly said that she's embarrassed of that. Actually, her friends know her mom is a nurse and I believe she tells Cameron at some point as 'a matter of fact' and not really as a confession. They make it look like if Padgett would've never thought that her mom's profession would hint on her true household income. So weird, I know. But well, when her friends confront her about it, they actually start with that piece of info, as to say that "Dah, it's a no brainer". Personally I think that's just lazy writing. The only way Padgett could've sustained such a big lie for so many years is if she had a tangled web of lies going on. She could've explained her supposedly rich life if she had a real or imaginary rich dad living somewhere else who allegedly supported her and her mom, then the lie could've had a greater impact. Also, it's very strange how supportive her mom is with it. It would be a different story if she had just come clean about her income and said that everything she had was made out from her hard work. I think that's cooler than a your parent's wallet, because from what they show in the movie, she was doing pretty good for a teenager.

What I find it funny is how Padgett's friend really went all in to basically *ruin her life* (stealing her boyfriend, making her effectively lose her source of income and so on), and she did all that *to become Prom Queen* I just love how US movies set in high school make being a Prom Queen such a HUGE deal that people would go out of the way like that to become one. Eveb Netflix had no hope for the success of this shitshow. They literally put as much sponsorship in this movie as possible. Like every five minute there was some company shoved into our holes.😂 Core water, pizza hut, kentucky, many make up brands in the beginning and all the chips they didn't even try to hide. They were like well, since we're making the biggest flop of the year we may as well put all of our sponsorships in it. They weren't going to lose any money on Addison, that's for sure.

For example when she was throwing literal shit on his face her laugh was so forced it gave me physical pain. Like she couldn't act real emotions whatsoever. Her sad faces though were hilarious.😂 "I'm so sorry😐🤥... you must've missed her alot.😑🤥..." Like I was laughing my ass off in that scene and that was the most sad emotional scene of the film.
