I’m Swedish. The two MAIN things people grill are hot dogs (varmkorv/grillkorv, hotdog/grilldog, same thing!) ….and steaks. As said, the griddle marks are pretty classic. And imagine being at a campfire and wanting to thread some food on a spiky stick, and instead grilling anything But hotdogs. Every school child here have grilled hotdogs, but nothing else.
