Adelaide's North Terrace - Architecture and Streetscape

North Terrace is Adelaide's cultural boulevard, comprising an eclectic range of old and new architecture.
Landmarks and institutions include the Adelaide University, Bonython Hall, Art Gallery of South Australia, State Library of South Australia, National War Memorial, Parliament House, Railway Station and Adelaide Casino.
Modern buildings include the Adelaidean (hotel and apartments), Realm Adelaide (apartments), Myer Centre, Eos by SkyCity Hotel, Adelaide Convention Centre and South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).

Great mix of architecture, old and new. Envisage North Terrace more pedestrian friendly with much reduced vehicle traffic, wider footpaths, outdoor cafes and mire greenery.

Great vid.. I can't believe how much my ol home town has grown! Left in 77 & havnt been back since the 1st Adelaide grand prix. These vids have been inspiring. Holiday there in the works...

Glad you're enjoying the footage... and have been inspired to return! Where have you been living since '77? Adelaide's had a slower rate of growth and development than the other Australian capital cities, but has still changed a lot since the 70s (especially within the last decade).

@@UltraVibeProductions hey Left Adelaide 77 for the hills around Nimbin. Glad I loved & lived in its heyday. Septic place nowadays... 84 moved to Anakie gemfields central Queensland. 89 went to Queanbeyan to visit a mate I went to Adelaide boys high with in 73 74. Married his cousin. Great vid Chris! I love the 'city streets' song - the vibe and tempo of the song goes so well with sleepy old Adelaide.. I work on North Terrace so am there most days, Adelaide has had so much construction done and come up so much in the last few years..
