@@MichaelLoda Gutter oil is certainly one reason. Though high-end establishments would not use it. And cheap canola oil has made the situation better and hopefully the practice will cease completely in time. But for now its sadly a fact that if you have visited or live in Beijing/China you have 100% consumed rancid oil from a sewer.
