That practical mom- KZbin channel mom of 3 kids suggests a laundry basket for each person and do one person load at a time... so that don't have to sort... then when fold goes back in basket I did find my daughter from toddler to teen only wears at most 4 shirts and 3-4 different skorts- so we drastically reduced her clothes to what she was choosing and it helped And we found that teaching her to do laundry with laundry pods was easier than liquid laundry soap. I also took permanent marker and marker on the washer/dryer the settings to use every time.

For mail type papers the easiest thing I did was just stack up the important ones and recycle the rest. Maybe you could just quickly sort them into three piles, important, artwork and trash/recycling. The important you can put somewhere safe. The artwork somewhere special. Just throwing out ideas!

We have a Rubbermaid tote full of all the important paperwork. We have a specific spot for important papers we need soon (this is a bit of a mess but it works for us). Everything else gets tossed.
