Glad you are back, hope your son & daughter are doing well. You are by far my favourite channel when it comes to neuro diversity. ❤ from 🇨🇦

Thank you for your videos! They’re helpful to me. I’m new to your channel and realizing the past month that I highly think I’m autistic. My needs can’t be met bc my husband has trouble dealing with them and I’m a sahm of a 3yo. I’m currently looking into kindergarten (I wanted to homeschool but it’s obviously not possible for me..) and extra help in daily life (where I live there are free options for help (thank God!) but I have to contact them myself and that takes time (makes me anxious and I guess bc of pda) butttt long story, my question is; have you spoken about how you as a family deal with autism. Like balancing alone time, time with children and husband, special interests etc? Do you have a sort of system to recover from social interactions or situations in life? I find it really difficult and I was always going with the flow, even though it really doesn’t work and now for the idk how many time I’m again in a burn out state 😭

I hope you get to feeling better. I can't imagine trying to parent as well. Are you ever worried your kids will blame themselves for times your autism might get in the way between you? My worry would be they'd very wrongly blame themselves, which kids often do when they can't express their anxiety about what's going on with a parent, or between their parents. I hope you have or can find other autistic parents your age that you can share healthy methods with on how to be the best Mom you can be on the daily, *without* damaging yourself in the process or denying your own needs too much, too often. Hang in there!

Those worries are valid. Being a parent is difficult no matter your neurotype and becoming a parent is a choice that should not be taken lightly. I walked into parenthood naive as fuck but for me, I think my autism has helped me be a better parent in the areas that matter most. I also have a neurodivergent partner that helps to create balance on the days I’m off. As for my kids feeling responsible for my disconnect, I have raised them in a way that they know they are not responsible for anyone’s emotions, including mine. I’m also honest with my kids about how I’m feeling and what I plan to do to help… I think a lot of kids adopting responsibility comes from lack of communication. Thank you for your beautiful comment ❤️

@@neurodivergentmewould you be open to speak about this topic sometimes?

Hi, i am Stefan. Agree. One of my triggers is long meetings with investors. I never told people about my burnouts. And i didnt admit the fact to myself. Its central for autists to understand that. Otherwise you feel worthless, and thats wrong.
