Glad you included the original non-Strung version in the comparison. I still think it’s my favorite of the line!

I just picked some up for $180 with the T-Mobile Tuesday 40% coupon. Also got a pair of Boston 12 for $96. Couldn’t pass up the deals. Had to send them both back for .5 size down though. Ran just a bit too long for my liking. The Prime X probably would have been fine as the lockdown was solid. But with that crazy amount of stack I want the perfect fit. The Boston 12 was just overall much too big. Heel slip and a full inch of length past my big toe in the front. Excited to get them both back though and try them out! As a 6’4” 215lb runner, Lightstrike Pro has been my absolute favorite foam on the market. Being heavier really allows the foam to compress but still give a ton back. Much better performance wise compared to ZoomX for me.

Are you a usual Adidas wearer? Was the extra length different from previous Bostons/Adizero fits, or is this entirely new for you? I'm 6' 200lbs and kind of float between 11 and 11.5 depending on the brand...cheers.

@@michaeltanel3815 yeah I have Adios Pro 3 and tried the Boston 11. Adios Pro 3 was perfect in size 12 but the Prime x 2 Strung was noticeably longer in size 12. I have a narrow foot though so you might feel differently.

@mbrackmann8 I think you just answered my question! Im generally an 11.5. but had to size down to an 11 in the Boston 12. I'm an 11.5 in the Pro 3. I gather from your comment the prime x2 strung is the same length as the Boston 12 and I'll need to go down to an 11 as well? I guess I have a relatively narrow foot too. Cheers!

Hi there, wondering how these fit vs the pro 3 and Boston 12? Im an 11.5 in the pro 3, and 11 in the Boston 12 (as it seems super long). Im unable to try the prime x 2s on so wondering what size to go for? Cheers

Did a 20 mile run in this shoe at a pace of 6:50, brilliant shoe

Can this shoe be used at work or even loitering in the street, or is it only for racing?

Its the only "super shoe" I can run somewhat stable in... its my "early morning cold start"- Running shoe and my easy pace long run shoe... I have 300km in and they begin to show some wear. I think 700-900km is no problem at all for them, maybe even more if you use it on dry roads after it and dont mind a not perfect grip... and for a stupid 2hours treatmill run it will probably always work, even if the outsole is completly dead. The only 2 things I had with both of my prime x 2 is: the first 20km felt harsh, funny, and nice, but harsh, they had to break in. And the second thing: the eyelet where you can do the runners knot... jesus christ I had to buy and glue some padding over it from the inside, otherwise they were unrunable for me.

I just got them at half price, $200 CAD, even cheaper than superblast, which is the shoes I set out to buy. I have the original prime X without the strung upper, run over 500 miles in them, now they ain’t as bouncy as before. I was looking for last generation, strung 1, much lighter, but my size is sold out. O well, I will try them for some long runs this weekend.

Do you think this is stable enough for a flat foot over pronator with a somewhat wide midfoot

It is stable enough for my flat foot

I honestly would recommend buying the asics superblast if you can find one in your size as it is much more durable and far better for daily training paces as well as workouts while being cheaper.

How is Superblast more durable, given its lower stack and inadequate outsole? Isn't Adidas' Lightstrike Pro foam meant to the most durable, getting better the more you use it?

Im a 7:30-7mins km guy and more like a heel strike runner is this good for me?

Great review, stability in the heel like Boston 12?

He addresses heel stability just after the 4:50 mark.

Does this shoe make sense as a training companion to AP3 (or AP4 when it's out)? I'm very much curious to try it for the longer training sessions. I usually don't need to pick up the pace too drastically or often, so it might be a good fit.

I bought these shoes for 80$ witha lot of shenanigans. Now i have a lot of pairs xD They arent very stable, but theyre a bit fun. Oh nice you mentioned the turning issue, it takes some finese and thought. Unlike my Triumph 20s

The prime x strung 2 is very different from version 1. Suppose you bought this shoe at a discount. It was the older version. By the way, this shoe rocks. I went from not running for years to running 50 miles a month in 2 months. It has a huge stack and feels like running on clouds.

any advice on not getting those plastic parts on the final parts of the laces not dig in? thats my one issue with the shoe so far.
@rob8939 Жыл бұрын
I had the the same problem after first two runs. Found a post on Reddit where someone recommended using the small circular corn plasters/cushions you can buy for your foot and stick them to the plastic parts inside the shoe. Have only tried it on one 8 mile run so far but fingers crossed it seemed to work - no pain or rubbing and super enjoyable run.

yea i was thinking of doing that too with maybe merino socks as well @@rob8939

Very expensive as a daily trainer. I will stick with triumph and Kayano for the long-run
