Canoe Camp Climb

Күн бұрын

Adirondack Canoe trip paddling from Rollins Pond to Floodwood Pond. Usually we can paddle right through this small stream... but on this trip we had a fun detour around a beaver dam. Beaver dams are common on the Adirondacks. While sometimes the work of the beaver makes a paddling route more challenging... beavers also make many of the waterways we enjoy paddling possible. And they are always a treat to see.

I'm paddling a Placid Boatworks Rapidfire and my wife is paddling a Swift Cruiser 12.8 which are lightweight solo canoes.

No Beavers were harmed during the making of this video. We love beavers.... and all the creatures we see why out paddling... well... except black flies.

@@JC-sj2pd I have no idea. But when I first posted this on my social someone thought we hated beavers. We love them... they make a lot of our waterways possible to paddle.

Hi Angela..... the water was pretty cold near the beaver dam where we got out and the water was deeper. It was a lot warmer in the shallows as you'd guess. Thanks for watching :-)
