Some people think of New York as being New York City, what a world apart . Absolutely Beautiful !
@CanoeCampClimb5 ай бұрын
Thank you Robert. New York is such a beautiful diverse state. Something for everyone. I gravitate towards the mountains obviously... but like to see a Broadway show from time to time. I am always amazed when I meet someone from NY and they've never been to the Adirondacks. If they only knew.

Went canoe camping with friends on Floodwood some years ago. This brings back memories. Great camera work. Love the nature sights and sounds, woodpecker, nuthatches, loon, squirrel, etc. Well done.

@@CanoeCampClimb We had a great trip, in hindsight should have spaced in more down time! We couldn't find a free camping spot until Long Pond, but got a great spot at LP#2 just before sunset. BTW, is there an outfitter you recommend in the area?

@@georgepopadopolous Hey... sorry for the slow response. #2 is a nice site... as is #3. Here are some outfitter recommendations close to the St Regis Canoe Area: St Regis Canoe Outfitters. They have a very nicely stocked store right in Saranac Lake. Good people. www.canoeoutfitters.com/ Mac's Canoe Livery. There little shop is right on the edge of the St Regis Canoe Area. Very convenient. Brian and Grace MacDonald have run it for years. www.macscanoeadk.com/

This video is a perfect outdoor video in so many ways. High quality video and audio, interesting compositions, well lit, multiple angles, no annoying music! I could go on about all the things I liked, but most of all I could tell you were having a great time. Great video, Butch and Barb!

First off. Great edit. Second I was just there and haven’t even finished washing off stuff and can’t get enough of these kinds of videos to learn from and plan next trips. Video really good quality just from a phone but pairing of music was nice.

@CanoeCampClimb2 ай бұрын
Thank you. We wear our life jackets nearly all the time. On this paddle Fish Creek is between 1-3 feet with a sandy bottom, a close shoreline, and negligible current. We've paddled it many time and know every bend. That said... we wear them in all of our newer videos

You do know you cannot use a drone in the Adirondack's don't you?
@CanoeCampClimb2 жыл бұрын
That is definitely not true. I spend a lot of time in all areas of the Adirondacks.. and I take great care in following the rules... and that includes making sure I fly legally. I ask that you please read my video description where I post a special note on drone use. it is in all my videos where a drone is used. It includes the no fly zones as well as a link to the different land class classifications. If I am not certain of a rule I contact the DEC for guidance. I spend a lot of time trying my best to know what I am talking about... I kindly suggest you do the same.
