still has the big middle section with no lights. I certainly wasn't impressed with the Spherion & feel it was WAY too expensive for what it does. Not much control with the UC3 either. Hopefully the Starburst looks better.

the adj starburst is the worst fixture i have had in a long while. i have had 3 of these now and each one has had a problem with it

Hmm I have the Spherion model already and was looking into the Starburst. My question is, since the Spherion has more lenses, is it possible that the top half of the older model can be a direct fit for the newer model there for eliminating one of the disadvantages of the newer model?

Regarding the ADJ Starburst, can I change the color to white only on the menu or do I need to use a DMX controller to get white only? thank you!

Hi Brian! Love your channel. I ordered the Starburst and had to wait forever for it to be in stock. When it finally came the buttons didn't work. I sent it back and the new one just came. I'm used to the heavy, metal construction of Chauvet stuff, so I'm skeptical of the unit right out of the box. I just plugged it up and it's on A001, meaning it's not moving or lit up. I hear something moving inside, like a motor with a bad bearing. Does yours make sounds when it's not moving? I'm actually on hold with ADJ customer service right now :)

Hi Brian. Really love you videos. Does the Starburst mix the colors or is I.e purple just two beams of blue and red? I just sold my Quad Phases because of that. Is does it do fixed colors or can they be mixed freely?

maybe ADJ europe should get there finger out there ass as this has been out of stock in europe since may 2015, as an avid user of ADJ product and an owner of over 50 lighting fixtures of ADJ I am a little cheesed off that its being advertised with out the stock available.

Here's my review of the new Starburst: For this being one of the latest and greatest to come from ADJ, this light fails miserably when it could be a huge success. First off, the new led panel is cheap and poorly designed. It took a day just to figure out how to work the darn thing, and that's coming from a dj that's worked with American DJ lights for over 20 years. The second issue: There's no way to bypass the crappy controls with either a wireless or wired remote. Really??? Many dj's are slowing going away from DMX because it's just a huge pain in the butt and many are going to wireless remote because it's easy to setup and easy to use. While the older big brother to this light, the Spherion, allowed a wired controller, this doesn't allow either. HORRIBLE. Here's the thing: I basically want to retire my American DJ Starballs, but unfortunately there has YET to be an LED light that can do that. I just want to recreate a mirror ball effect, maybe with some color. Is that really so hard? Yes, I can program this light to do that slow mirror ball effect, but only with one color selected. And I'm ok with that. But when I shut the unit off and turn it back on, it resets itself! Seriously??? So I either need to use DMX (not going to happen), sound mode (not for slow songs) or literally reprogram it every time I turn it off and on. Does American DJ think that I'm going to keep this light on the entire night? Or that I'm going to climb up my truss every time I turn the light on to reprogram it??? This light is a huge failure. It's nice and bright, with some nice color changes. Too bad they lure you in with that and then cripple you with lack of options and poor design. Too band the old white Spherions are discontinued. If anybody had two of them, I'm interested...
