Seems like this parking brake is being adjusted too "hard", as the repair manual says the parking brake lever should have a movement of 6-7 clicks by a force of 200N... With such "hard" setup, your brake shoes might be too narrow to the drum, causing the rear brakes to drag. Or, in the worst case the rear wheels may also be stuck (if contamination and water makes them to rust to the drum, due to water intrusion and car left unused for a period of time...)

These don’t have drum brakes. They are disc. Yes, a disc pad can be stuck if piston or guide pin is seized. But you will be smelling brakes and the wheel area will be very hot after even 10 km.
@runehillervik5843 Жыл бұрын
@@scottjuice9710 They are combined; disc/drum, where main brake = disc, and parking brake = drum. At least on Pajero Gen 4.

@@runehillervik5843 not in Australia they not! I know this as just changed my disc pads on rear of gen4
@runehillervik5843 Жыл бұрын
@@skaggin7790 When changing the pads, you probably didn’t remove the discs did you..? If you had removed the discs, you would have seen they are a disc/drum combo… Google it and you would see…
