I was skeptical about this given the lack of detail in the video. It appears the black "puck" is flared on the notch side. Filing the notch allows you to rotate the puck so the flare moves in favor of the hinge. Reinstall the puck with the filed end facing the opposite way. My sill was rubbing about 1/8th of an inch, and this actually did resolve it. This RAISED the bottom sill. Hope this helps.

I've been trying to figure that out myself and can't find a clear answer. I have an Andersen window that sticks and this is the only method I can find to adjust it, but there's zero explanation as to what the heck it's supposed to do.

Same thoughts and frustrations this is what the website says and it looks like the only argument Plastic Insert in Bottom Hinge Only (November 2006 - Present): 400 and 200 Series casement windows manufactured November 2006 - Present have a black plastic insert in the bottom (sill) hinge only. The black plastic insert is used to adjust the casement window up 1/16"

?? Shows how to adjust but doesn't say to what end. Such as "if your window does this... than do this...". What does this adjustment actually do to the window fit or function!?

I regret buying anderson windows ... that adjustment hinge is a joke ... there are basically 2 options...other window can be adjusted much more ... now my window is stuck and I cant do anything about it

1. Lower the volume of the irritating and distracting background music (maybe when the announcer starts talking). 2. Do I have to look at the top hinge also? What does shaving the puck do? When would I have to do this? 3. 'inspect the reveal'... inside or outside? 4. I did what the video and it made it worse... couldn't close the window.... had to put the puck back in the same way it came out. 5. One out of four windows installed, closes OK, and is centered in the frame. 6. This fix only adjusts the window angle and not horizontally.

Did you try ordering a new "puck? I have a casement window that sticks when it opens so I've been trying to find how to properly adjust it.

This installer never fully connects the lower arm clip after installing the shaved puck then says it is fully installed what a lie

Seriously...what does this adjust? Terrible video. I despise my old Andersen casement windows, 80 percent of them don't work in 30 years and it's a huge cost to repair or hundreds of thousands $$ to replace. Better off selling my house and let the new owner deal with the junk. The most basic function of a window is to OPEN and CLOSE! Andersen casements don't work without lots of maintenance and TLC.

Guys this video sucks. It doesn't show what this "adjustment" does. I'll try this but I doubt it will work.
