Gabriel Cuello Got both of John Meadows books. :) Very straightforward. :) Losing fat and getting shredded and keeping muscle is a slow process. Looking at 8 month stretches to get lean. :)

Berto, when you mention you cut carbs and add cardio, how much cardio should they add? What's rule of thumb?

Good video, but I should have been a bit more specific about the question. It was essentially what Shaked stated if you could give us an example of someones hypothetical macronutrient intake and say this person stalled in his or her fat loss stage, how would you as a coach make such adjustments whether it be manipulating his or her carb/protein intake i.e. increase protein 20 grams, drop carbs 10 to make such changes and continue forth with fat loss.

I think contest style prep is optimal for the average person thats looking to get generally fit as well. It's only so much stripping away you can do on a general diet before you are on a road to metabolic damage. The contest style preps (a good one at least) keeps you at the highest point of calories possible to lose fat, while preserving muscle and performance. To bad the average Joe is only concerned with overall weight loss and they don't care if its at the expense of muscle loss.

berto, how do you fix metabolic damage, I was counting macros and doing excellent up until 3 weeks ago, where I binged out and just stopped counting. I attempted to go back to the original macros I was using but I put on 5 pounds in a week ! help>

Berto what Marco would you suggest for someone who is 186lb 6'1'on your intermediate upper Lower spilt trying to maintain and bulk slowly up 205-210by next year? What is your recommendation for protein and fat.... And carbs

Don't panic. I'm sure you will figure it out and get back on track just make sure you are in a consistent calorie deficit and you will be fine. I don't think you can damage your metabolism in 3 weeks. People who damage there metabolism usually do so over a long period of time and are constantly yo yo dieting.

In the video you mention not getting to fat or heavy. So what in your opinion is the highest BF% you should aim for in the off season. I say BF% as appose to weight as it is usuall to measure your BF% if you are a competitive bodybuilder or someone who is trying to loose weight/cut etc.

Just means your gain phase is putting on too much fat, if you keep mini-cutting then your gnna be in deficit more frequently...less gainzz
