Yeah that’s fine. As long as the petitioner fully support the beneficiary / spouse. And when you need to update the renewal for the green card in the next two years. You will need to update the job listing of your career and income as well.

Thanks you. You need to attend the biometric appointment to do finger prints and scanning. Once you’re done. Your paper work will still be processing for the AOS.

Hello Bryan my husband and I applied for his AOS he received his EAD card then we got RFE in Nov 2023 for his I485 we immediately sent out his response. He received a notice Dec 2023 that his case is actively being reviewed. I know his case will be approved soon but alot of his friends who sent their application after us and also received RFE were approved for their green card. He is worried but I'm telling him it will eventually happen. Should we wait or make an inquiry and if we make an inquiry who do we contact.

Nope just wait it out and wait for the processing to continue and finish. It takes time. You don’t want to send any inquiry of asking how long it will take to get approved. Because they will red flag it. Let the process continue and stay calm. I know it’s frustrating. But you made it this far. So it will be okay. Usics takes the time for the green card. But at least the interview will be waived off. So that’s the best thing ever.

Can you apply for a passport after the 2 years of the green card is complete?

If your passport doesn’t expired yet and you get your green card before it. You can renew your passport after it.

The beneficiary which is the foreign spouse. Cause that’s the person that needs to stay in the USA and work and get travel as well. The petitioner who is the USA citizen only fills out the i864 form with evidences to that side. The rest of the forms are filled up by the beneficiary to file for AOS. Hope that makes sense

Hi Bryan, I hope you're doing well. So the status for AOS changed to RFIE was sent. What documents they could ask for ? Does that mean there was something missing from original documentation? You will get a letter that explains everything and it will tell what you need to send out to uscis. So pay attention on what they want and put that in order to send in the mail. Try to get it done asap. Don’t panic. It happens. It happened to me. So get it done. Stay calm and it will be fine. Just send in what they are asking for.

Well it depends on what you turn in on your forms and paperwork to the uscis. The uscis decides if they will give you a permanent resident green card or a temporary permit. Hopefully they will by pass the temp card and give you the green card. Which is what we had done and got. And we didn’t get an interview.

Hello bryan Hope you are doing good On 26 Dec 2023 it was my interview and the visa officer gave me a white paper with instructions and tick mark on two things "administration processing" and "passport submit via courier"and a yellow paper and he said to me to fill a form ds5535 and then they will let me know whether I'm eligible for visa or not I'm so worried about it tell me what to do even VO said to me your interview was good i don't know what to expect and it's been 2 weeks I've already sent the ds 5535

I’m good. Thank you for asking. Sorry that the interview wasn’t as planned. But do what the officer told you do and send in all a paperwork and the ds5535 form. And just stay patient and hopefully they will respond back to you asap. All you can do is wait for answer back and hope they will receive all your evidence and give you an answer. How long did it take after you filed for AOS? If she gets her citizenship after 3 years she won’t have to do anything again right?

If she gets a citizenship for the USA. She doesn’t need a green card. The citizenship goes both ways. This is our green card timeline : Green card timeline AOS Filed on & mailed on August 24, 2023 Received package on August 27, 2023 Case received by uscis by texting - August 31,2023 Request initial evidence on September 12, 2023 Request evidence receipt in hand on September 16, 2023 Mailed out the RFE evidences to uscis September 25,2023 Arrived at USCIs P.O. Box for RFE on September 28, 2023 Biometrics notice i797C received in the mail on September 28, 2023 Biometric scheduled on October 6, 2023 Update changed on correction on application for i485 on October 18, 2023 Case approved on November 15, 2023 Card is produced on November 20, 2023 Card is mailed and delivered by post office on November 24, 2023

You can’t travel until your green card permanent of resident gets approved by uscis. Congrats on getting married. Now this is the last part to finalize everything. So be patient and goodluck on getting approved for AOS. You got this

You can travel only within America, I came here July 2023 on k1 visa and I have been to 4 states and still waiting on my green card, my biometric appointment is next week Tuesday
