this was supposed to be a guaranteed encounter...but players make choices that cannot be predicted. sad part is, everyone in this vid thought they were alone. getting to the snow area on Chiemsee takes a lot of work and a lot of patience. one of the coolest parts of the snow area is if 2 groups are coming and going, theyre definitely going to meet. not this time though. not this time.

So close and yet so far. I got into that wilderness climbing up to a crashed helicopter and got in that way. Never been on the road. Everywhere else I met that damn silly fence.

the crazy thing is...its not at all, but it plays quite large bc it does not follow the loot or travel paths official typically follows. chernarus, minus the unplayable water, and livonia are roughly the same size, lets say 13x13km or roughly 169 kmsq...chiemsee is only a 10x10 or 100kmsq and you can still subtract the water. yes it is significantly smaller but bc of the water, and bc of the snow region being blocked, you have to go the lonnnnng way around to travel. and its MUCH more dangerous to travel by car bc there are many one way only choke points where as on official maps, most times there are 3+ routes to get to the same place

i think everyone dies on their first journey, if not to polar bears and zeds, then to dehydration and starvation. unless they get lucky and spot deer up there but thats rare

when its live for me, i love getting so amped up and then being disappointed but then immediately appreciating the fact that when i played before nov 8, this must have happened to me ALLL the time and i just thought i was alone, organizing teddy bears in crates, moving cars around the map, casually looting towns after killing every single zed suppressed, etc.

i was SO sure someone HAD to run into someone else. and the 3rd group that was moving toward the other groups coincidentally logged out 1km away, and logged back in 30 min later when both teams passed. everything was against me lol

guaranteed green and black plate armor, only place you can get spare green black pouches and holsters, small chance of tactical goggles, 1 guaranteed ka101, 3 guaranteed aura1, and WAY too much ammo and mags for a solo...if you know where to look. wasted trip...to each their own.

I learned some things about the terrain in the area and how to navigate it safely. I should have figured that a place so isolated with only one way up was a high tier place though.

Its how game shoud work, no maps no radars... this ruined GTA cheater logged in, looked map and just killed everyone... also it kills random situations... i loved DayZ back in time for this original pure experience and focus on reality... it shows how it shoud be done
