I had used adobe cc for geez twenty years (since school) and after that final straw moment with Adobe I looked into Affinity photo/ des / pub. I am so blown away how intuitive it is and something I noticed after awhile is for all the apps Adobe has when you pay monthly on the cc has anyone ever noticed how you really dont use the majority of the apps anyways. Also especially in ps and so ewhat in Illustrator but esp in PS there has always been 10 ways to do the same thing which over time seemed so weird to me. With Affinity it just feels and works. It is not perfect as nothingis but as a graphic designer it feels really good. Also I just got a M1 mbair and it is maxed for m1 and it runs so smooth. Happy I found your channel.

If you were on a Mac 20 years ago then the choices were much more limited, but on Windows you could have been using software very similar to Affinity Designer, Photo, Publisher. In fact you could have been using Serif's very own DrawPlus, PhotoPlus, and PagePlus. Those programs have been around for decades on Windows. If you pay for Adobe CC but don't use all of the programs, then you only have to worry about whether or not the 1 program you're using is making enough money to cover the cost of the rest of the programs in the suite. Right? I pay $32.00 a month (Adobe discounts it for me) for entire suite. I only make money with Photoshop and Illustrator. I make my whole living off Photoshop and Illustrator. I certainly make more than $32.00 a month. That argument about how many programs you use is a very poor argument.

About Affinity Designer on the iPad. Do this: 1. Pick up pencil tool 2. Change the size to around 2pt 3. Zoom in your canvas really far 4. Draw a simple stroke 5. Let me know whether your stroke is smooth or jaggy

For paid app affinity designer is the best choice, but if your job is selling vector to marketplace and need editable gradient and text ai is perfect

Agreed with u! I'm using Affinity photo n designer on ipad n they r AWESOME! Being using the photoshop on ipad n compare to Affinity photo it's worthless. Plus there's just one payment with Serif!

In affinity there is no Mesh fill gradient. Only this part is Affinity is behind the Illustrator ipad

I’d like to know how to create more than just one gradient to the same shape, with different colors, just like you did on this video with illustrator (04:00) , but I wanna do this in Affinity designer... Or at least obtain the same effect. I really cant find the option to create these extra gradients for the same shape... Thanks Jhonathan, keep making this amazing videos!

it's possible to use the appearance panel to do that, it's a bit complex since you need to manage the "layers" but it works very similar

Illustrator on iPad has been getting rave reviews online. I mean, it's okay, but while reading those reviews I keep thinking, "have these people even tried Affinity Designer?" the comparison is almost unfair it's so far ahead of Illustrator. But I have hopes that Illustrator will get better with time.

Yes we have tried and used affinity designer both on ipad and desktop

Illustrator better for desktop users. But if also depends your skills with the software. But the workflow in AI is better due to 3 tools. Live paint , shape builder and image tracing. There are some other tools to in AI that makes faster artwork. You need to think like this. The monthly 20 or so will save you lot of hours for making artwork. So at the end you make more money from art work if you're using professionally. But for hobbies stick with inkscape or affinity. All 3 dictated are amazing but AI is just faster. On other 2 you need workaround which is slower but doable.

Did you choose Ipad Pro over normal Ipad because of the larger display (12.9 vs 10.2 inch)? How complicated a project has to be to see any differences in performance between those two models?

Hi sojek, I have the ipad pro because the performance on the hardware seems to be better as related by the specifications, and also the larger display I like more, to have a better answer, I recommend you to see some video comparison with the two models, I just have the ipad pro so I can't say if basic models are good,

Yes, it makes subtitles for the video, but for the video in English-English subtitles, and for the video in Russian-Russian subtitles. KZbin does not make Russian subtitles for videos in English and vice versa.
