So many details, like: 1. Shiori making Juri fighting against Utena and getting bored 2. Juri just starts talking after Shiori leaves 3. When Miki asks for Touga 4. The famous "Ōji-sama" 5. First Juri's defeat ever, which somehow it feels in the movie they mixed Ruka and Juri's personalities 6. Kanae not being mentally destroyed by Akio

I think this duel is a reference to Ruka dueling Juri saying that she's hiding her feelings. Just as Utena is quite reserved in the movie.
