Hey, how is your Uromastyx going? I'm considering getting one but on the fence about the personality and if they bond well with keepers. Any thoughts? Are they personal?

My Uro is super friendly and loves to hang out with me and others. I've even taken him to schools to teach kids and he loves to walk on the children's hands. But I'm afraid he is quite special. From what i see and hear about other Uros is that they are very shy and skittish. Hope this helps! 😊

is it normal that a tortoise is not moving in its place? and I am happy you are back
@TheGreatPetShop2 жыл бұрын
They like to spend most of the day sleeping under their light or buried in a corner. However, they should walk around daily and eat as well. If this isn’t the case then there might be a husbandry issue that’s preventing them from living normally. Make sure that the temperature range is appropriate for your species and that it isn’t too cold. When cold, the digestive system won’t function normally and could explain them not wanting to move around. Try soaking your tortoise in warm shallow water to rehydrate it and hopefully stimulate them to move around. If nothing works then I suggest you take it to the vet as soon as possible as there could be a blockage or some other illness. I hope this was helpful and let me know how it goes! 😊
