It’s not just the economy, but places have become so overpopulated with ppl. The highways are always filled with bumper to bumper traffic. The restaurants have tables so close together that you can literally hear someone’s conversation as if you’re included in it. Also, people look you up and down to see what fashion brands you’re wearing. Customer service is hit or miss. Every time you meet someone new out and about, the conversation feels more like an interview. If you’re not doing x,y,z in life, you’re not important. There’s a huge disconnect. Lastly, ppl can’t stay off of their phones to enjoy being in the present. Everything feels like an advertisement. Modern society has declined into a 💩 show, I’m over it ✌🏾

@TheHonestTruth36929 күн бұрын
People really don't put much thought at all into having kids, i honestly have come to the conclusions that most humans were just accidents from two parties simply wanting to get their rocks off, unintended, most are not physically, mentally, emotionally or financially ready for kids but when the "happy" accident comes people just pretend it was planned or a blessing or whatever cop out is necessary to not consider the true repercussions of their actions. It's honestly boggles the minds, maybe it's just that strong a biological program, haven't felt the need to foster life knowing full well the depths of depravity this world has to offer, i understand that pain is inevitable and it yields growth, i respect that but bringing a child into this world when you yourself are a child is darn evil if you ask me, double so if you know you're just perpetuating the same woes onto your kin.

Of course there is a solution to end all problems but such solution is either seen as wrong, weak or other negative adjectives and or it would affect those we still care for so we hold out, pretending we want to be here, existing, just existing, knowing full well this is no life, a falsehood, but we literally haven't the power to do anything to change it, honestly I'd sell my soul just to have 1 day without woes, without thinking about the fact that I'm sinking and no matter how hard i try to swim my demise is an inevitability i already see coming but try i still.

I'm at college age (I don't do any stereotypical college kid activities), and this makes me so grateful I grew up poor and know how to have fun without money. I have a friend where we plan tea time. We go on long walks and watch shows together on free streaming services or share each other's dvds to watch movies together. We literally don't spend a whole lot or any money to enjoy each others company and have no plans for the future to incorporate drugs/alcohol/bars. We're lucky we can walk to the library, and to each others houses. The library has more movies to watch, art exibits, and other people gathering activities. At some point, we had a dnd group, too. Also not very expensive because I just shared dice from my friends collection. I'm not going to take my inexpensive social life for granted. I just feel bad for those older than me who were conditioned in this way to spend money to hang out, and hanging out has to have alcohol for some reason.

I had high school friends not call me for a period of 4 years, they act like it never happened. I had one moron not even check on me during the two hurricanes that recently hit Florida. Whenever I call him or message him, he's always saying "I got school and bills" Bro, you're 31 doing this, I did this at 19 and I still had time to enjoy my life. I worked 4 days a week part time while going to school 6 days a week. My parents have their own business, they're always working and find time to enjoy their lives. If you feel like you're being ghosted by certain people, just drop them. It's also cheap to simply hang out with someone, people think they need to spend hundreds a day just to have fun which isn't true.

I just turned 21 in 2024, a few months ago, and bars and clubs are NOT what I expected them to be. Bruh I was born in 2003, my childhood music was fkn Brittney, Kesha, Katy Perry, pit bull, t pain, 2000’s- 2010’s pop music, crunk core, club scenes that’s how I THOUGHT it would be, going out with my friends and partying and letting lose when I finally came of age, but now I’m 21, and that shit just really doesn’t exist anymore. I don’t live in NYC or Hollywood, so I don’t have access to that experience. It’s literally the worst. All I got when I turned 21 was a fucking trash job market and economy and upcoming election and social culture AND NOT EVEN A GOOD CLUB OR BAR SCENE?! I’m hanging on by a thread 🫠 I am not doing ok

I'm 46 and did alot of clubbing 25 years ago. Unfortunately the best days of clubbing are behind us for your generation.

I lived in Hollywood in the late 80s and early 90s. It was crazy and stupid, but it was so damn fun. I feel for you youngbloods. You got dealt a shitty hand and I don't blame you for being pissed.

You know, II actually disagree with this. I think that you can go out without spending a $100 every time you go out. I think the problem is that the majority of people do not have enough financial discipline to not either overspend or commit themselves to things that they know they absolutely can't afford. That's number 1 number 2. There are things that you can actually do that. Don't cost you anything, especially if you are not a social drinker, not a drinker and you just don't engage in those type of activities, there are tons of things that you can do that won't cost you money number 3, if you are going to go out and socialize, start to pick activities. That are within your financial range, that is all it doesn't cost $100 to step outside. People are so attached to material things that they think that every time they have to go out to enjoy themselves, that it's going to cost them something, and it doesn't have to be that way

Older women 30+ should never feel bad about going out. Either enjoy your kids and just ask your husband to take you on a family trip as needed. We guys love that. If you don’t have a husband, good for you, but it might best to be practical and save your money for retirement.
