I just found out about AWBW last week and started playing in the Global League. I quickly learned that my rusty, decades-old single-player/casual AW skills were not working against skilled opponents in AWBW. I'm only 25 mins into this video and already I'm identifying some of my own bad habits through this analysis. Also gaining solid fundamentals that I can immediately put to use in my next games. Thank you so much for uploading! Definitely subscribing as well.

In my last match I remember a Rocket that stood alive for more than 20 days, it even resurrected after being damaged and it was by far the mvp of the match until I finally killed it. I should make the maths to see how much cost efective it was

I have done that in a battle and it paid off. I spammed battle copters to kill all their infantry amd let their aa pretty much do what they wanted. My opponent spammed copters, i kept them busy killing a string of infantry capturing a property i was never going to get as my tanks took over the centre and my multiple aa then charged in and made them resign. Niche strategies, but they can work under the right circumstances (or if you can create the right circumstances) against some opponents. I wouldn't reccomend it though cos the exceptiom to the rule should not become the rule as it will fail more oftem than it succeeds.

Same thing I always wonder why my opponents will waste 2 turns on a lab capture. Unless they have nothing better to do. Also sometimes it is quite obvious you have lost but I have personally resigned from a match before thinking it was lost only to find out that I was about to win because my opponent was about to run out of steam. Sometimes I think it’s better to play closer (not all the way to) to the bitter end. Plus especially since it is on wave if you know your opponent should resign you can just increase your desired games count by 1. And once a game is found move it back down 1.

Well a realistic map representing Stalingrad wouldn't be symmetrical, it'd be one side where they don't have enough properties to build anything stronger than Recons and the other side having plenty of funds to work with but being bottlenecked so they need to move anything new they build through like 10 Squares of Snowy Forests and can only fire with one unit when trying to move into enemy HQ.

There is no perfect defense, leave a weak spot so you can punch harder one side. Attack from one side while the other is a diversion.

ehh nice video , but eggman you need to consider using Adder a bit less. You are addicted to that movement. But that CEO literally does nothing otherwise. Imo not worth it. This game was heavily impacted by CEO choice. Not saying Deejus didn't deserve win - he knows what he is doing obviously, but Adder kinda ... wasn't really pick providing much to this fight.

37:39 Labs on league maps aren't entirely useless. There is no Lab units in league, but enemies can be seen crossing the lab like any property. It's still is a waste of time to capture, and that's completely useless in Standard, but it does give you info at the very least.
