It's part of the song, he set the cue points as Plant's voice drops down. Sounds awesome the way he plays with it :D

I get around his by warping the tract to a grid on Ableton then exporting it to Traktor works a treat :)

@tobiaserrboe You'll need a second sound card to send the deck audio through. Pretty simple to setup if you go searching through the settings, and external sound cards can be bought super cheaply (thought they're probably not the most reliable pieces of kit.).

@psytube1980 The problem with that is that the band doesn't keep constant tempo, and Traktor sets up beat grids under that assumption. Hence, the need to readjust the tempo and grids.

I'm sure your father is experienced and great, I personally taught myself how to beatmatch without a bpm counter or waveform but still use softwares, a LOT can happen and be done in 20 seconds even, trust me

You could teach pretty much anyone how to mix on vinyl as well, its not like learning how to skate, or any other difficult technical activity. Digital DJing lets people be allot more creative and expressive. I think when you get into live finger drumming and looping its almost like playing a live instrument. Really there is no limit to what you can do with digital DJing. In my opinion comparing digital djing and old school DJing is unfair. They are both awesome and have their place.

I pressed Store and then it saved the Whole Lotta Love guitar part under All Tracks. I renamed it and now I have selected the 4 bars of the vocals and press Store same as the DJ dude did but it doesn't save this time!

right! I love how much people think they are the best dj in the world because they use vinyl or cd's still and beat match each song everytime, been there done that! djing is about what comes out of the speakers to the audience! Prep is important for every skill and traktor makes the on the fly creative aspect of mixing cleaner and more precise. why waste time beat matching always when you can be surveying how your audience is reacting or setting up an entirely on the fly original mashup?
