Thank you for watching our latest real English conversation. Here is a list of key words and phrases that we used in this English lesson:
- it’s what we both did when we lived in Spain (past sentence)
- you’re probably wondering what it would be like living abroad (great example of wondering)
- I can’t believe it’s been 10 years (I'm shocked it's been that long)
- some of the best things that we took away from this experience (learned)
- it gave you five seconds to cross 6 lanes of traffic (good sentence, right?
- we didn’t know that the subway had closed (past perfect)
- I remember standing there after going through the checkout (remember + gerund = memory)
- it’s hard to have a sense of humor if you don’t know the language (sense of humor)
- he saw that we were having problems (past sentence)
- I remember getting to Bilbao and being so excited (remember + gerund = memory)
- There’s no point saying football because that creates confusion (it makes people confused)
- we don’t get time to step back and think about it (to step back = to take time to think about it)
- What were some things that really stood out to you? (noticeable)
- Did you get a little choked up? (emotional)
Is there anything else that you don't understand? If so, leave a comment. Oh, and be sure to answer Kate's question too.

This is my first attempt to leave a comment below your videos. Honestly, I've finally decided to do it 'cause yesterday I talked to my best friend and he said to me e has received a job offer which is gonna allow him to go to London. In that moment I realized how I am wasting my life delaying all stuff I would like to do but I'm too unconfident to do. So this is what I need to write now, and what I've never been able to do untill now.

I have the impression that this kind of videos help us much more than grammar English videos at least for me. Because you are not just practicing your listening but you are reading at the same time and watching the English grammar structure and stuff. It's entertainment , a funny way to learn and also you're listening to different English accent.

Hey Jack I really enjoy your videos! They are very helpful. I take many ideas how to explain something and how to express myself using phrases and words that I have learned from you. I like the topic because I am from Bulgaria, but I moved to Greece 10 years ago. In the beginning it was very hard, now I am happy with my life. Living abroad is a challenge with many advantages and disadvantages...For instance Greece gave me many opportunities to make my life better and easier, but unfortunately I am far from my relatives......

Thank YOU for making this video! I enjoyed it very much. I will not emigrate to an english country but I will do it to Egypt and English will help me deeply because they speak English there, not all the people but some of them. I am learning Arabic on my own but it is not easy. I am from Portugal and Portuguese and Arabic are two very different languages. So, in the first months in Egypt, I think I will need to use my English too. I am so excited about leaving my comfort zone and learning new things in a different country, with a different language and culture. It will be awesome and your videos are helping me a lot. I am feeling stronger and more confident. Love your work, love your videos, love your open mindedness, your courage. Many thanks and God bless you.

How lovely couple you are😊 I studied in Spain for a while as Hungarian, and I loved the people there. They are so helpful and welcoming. Un país maravilloso.❤️🇪🇦 Now I live in the UK as Hungarian, Eastern European and I had so many awful and painful experiences here. We are treated like dirt in the UK, in the most of the time. I wish I could live in Spain. The native English speakers are so lucky because they can make a living from teaching English there. 👍

Like what u mentioned about living in spain, for me as well it was very struggling in the beggining due to language, culture, system and many other things cause I've never experienced living in foreign country. But as time went by, I started to adapt to this country and I'm glad that I nearly fully became used to here. Think living in different country enables me to reset my life and experience lots of new and amazing things I must have not faced up before. Was so lovely to watch ur video.
