This is phenomenal, thank you so much! Although I feel sooo slow compared to you. However, I'm going to leap in and trust that over time, I will continue to pick up speed. I hope. Anyhow, really loved the tutorial, can't thank you enough!

THis is a great video man thank you. There aren't enough of these medium-high techniques.. they others are either too easy or too hard.. this is money in the middle!! Keep them coming. Ive been playing for 10 months.. this helped expand my repitoire.. lol

Great lesson. I practice each of the pick patterns during commercials if I'm watching TV just to get my right hand working properly. It took about a week, 30+ minutes per day, just to learn them; picking slowly for the first couple of days before even trying to build up speed. Since I don't much care for TV, I sit on the patio and watch the squirrels while picking.

How long do I have to practice to get skills like you? I've been playing uke for about 2 years and I'm trying to learn something harder, so your lessons are really great for me. Good job

It’s really just picking the strings in their open note order. On a High G ukulele, the 4th string really fits between the 1st & 2nd

what tuning is he in during the first pattern? I'm in GCEA and his E string (or what should be the E) sounds very different than mine when playing the staircase C maj. 7 chord. Does anybody know what tuning he is in?

I would give the world to learn how to play my ukulele like I sit down and play the piano - or similar to how people would play a classical guitar. Soooo many youtube channels on here that are great for chording and singing along, but I'd sure love to learn a finger picking style to simply sit down and enjoy just playing pretty songs on my ukulele. Do you offer that? (I'm looking for actual videos that teach how to play popular songs with finger picking...)
@Hacks5362 жыл бұрын
I know this is a year old , but you should really search up finger style ukulele if you wanna play songs like that Also, I see some advanced strumming patterns n KZbin that are absolutely amazing to play, I know not the same thing , but the advanced stuff really get you somewhere Also just because it’s advanced doesn’t mean it’s hard. Some of them are way more beautiful than the so called ‘basic strums’

honestly you're a great ukulele player, but a terrible teacher. you need to slow it wayyyy down and put up a tab so that us viewers can follow along without having to rewind the video constantly to see what the heck you're playing.

No, do NOT rest your fifth finger (or ANY finger) on the body of the instrument. What kind of idiot, by the way, calls the index finger a "pointer" finger? That's sickening.

Silly boy. It's not the index finger. It's the booger hook.
@happyplucker55156 жыл бұрын
Herbert Wells totally wrong Herbie old chap. Anchoring the finger ensures stability in volume and intonation and has little if no effect on overall sound projection.
