Travis produces some of the best judo content on YT IMO. Stuff you can watch and then do in the gym an hour later.

He's one of the people who left the tatami after the Olympics and started giving back to the sport immediately. so many retire and then take the knowledge with them and never pour it back in. He's pours... CONSTANTLY.

Definitely would like to see the whole thing with grips. I seem to get re-swept a lot trying this.

The throw only works when your opponent has weight on their foot. To practice make sure your opponent has weight on their foot, set the position, then try to have them take their foot out you should be able to keep if for 3-5 seconds before losing it. You just have to score in that time.

Hey mate. Thanks for another great video. It was only the other day that l was re-watching some of your passing stuff and lamenting that l hadn't seen much on your channel lately. Now it seems l'm spoilt for choice. I've been trying to work on this exact technique for the last month or so. You've provided some really valuable tips to clean up my technique...so thanks! I'd love for any additional details you could provide. Thanks again mate!

This is really hard to learn without a solid partner. So it's best to find someone who actually plays the opposite side from you. And have them put actual weight on their foot about 50% or so. This way they are leaning on it but not driving their foot into the floor.

Great video. I was able to effect the technique in one of my BJJ sessions, but I think it was luck. Would definitely like to see a follow up incorporating your go to setup and grips that I could use in both judo and bjj. Thank you.
