Wow! Have you chosen the right video. Today you're going to learn all about INVERSION. When we use this grammatical structure and how we use it. If you want to sound dramatic, or emphatic or formal or informal in certain situations then you need to learn it. This is an advanced English grammar lesson but the structure is quite simple. So whatever your level you can learn this quite easily.
Some of the situations you use inversion: After NEITHER, NO, SO. In conditionals and after negative adverbial phrases such as NOT ONLY.

Yes, Gideon, in the subtitles it says "that", but what you actually said -provided I got it right- was "when", which I assumed to be also correct. Is that possible? Thank you very much for your videos. You teach the very feeling of the language in them!

@@MrCascarria I think it is just a typo, a mistake while typing. so it would be:"Not only do you..." because it is originally I think: " you do have excellent taste". I Hope that this comment is helpful to you.

Some people are of the opinion that the verb agreement is determined by the subject 'before as well as' and some people are of the opinion that the verb agreement is determined by the subject 'after aswellas ' in a sentence with the conjunction as well as. For example 1)Sita aswellas her friends is going to the mall . 2)I as well as my friends are playing. Please make it clear to me.
