Cocktail Chemistry

Күн бұрын

The final season of Game of Thrones is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than by melting the flesh of your enemies with wildfire. Using the naturally green and high-proof green chartreuse, I make a drinkable version of wildfire to blow some minds at your viewing parties.

Hey y'all, I originally posted this video on Tuesday but a music copyright strike made it unviewable to a lot of people. So here it is again, hopefully safe from copyright. This was a really fun one to create, let me know if you plan on making it for the premiere!

okay i seriously need to know how you manage to pull this trick without breaking your glasses. there is a drink i have been working on for ages that involves burning absinthe in the glass in the same way and my glasses will break about 50 percent of the time i try and make it! this pretty much always happens when i try to swirl it while it is still burning. is it because my glasses are too thin? am i leaving it on fire for too long and the temperature difference is becoming too much? i need to know a better way to reliably make it cause its more or less my signature drink at this point! PS- burning the absinthe is a must for the drink cause it pretty significantly changes the flavor profile of the drink, so should i try other ways of blazing the drink or maybe just smoke the glass with some spices instead? ive been cocktail bartending for about a year now but havent had any proper instruction in the way of fire so im still fairly nervous to play around with different ideas... any ideas would be appreciated!

Fair question, there are several factors that influence the thermal shock of glass. In this case, the glass walls of the Nick & Nora are relatively thin and flexible, thicker glass is more prone to cracking. You can also find tempered glasses like these amzn.to/28RD9To
