I find that using healing grenades is useful in big group settings (especially late second point holds), mainly because there are already so many revive nades coming and they only revived at 50% health, the healing nades help keep them alive that extra fraction of a second longer. Plus you only need to use one because they dont stack and flak armour is nearly essential in these situation. Havent done any hard testing on its usefulness but it definitely feels good.

I use grenade Bando w heal nades. Goes perfectly w a sidewinder carapace chokepoint build. U can pop a resto kit while using nano regen and have 3 heals going on. I outlast 75 percent of heavies this way

Combat surgeon doesn't effect the Shield Recharge Device -- it still gives the 20% resistance on rezzes, but Mending Field gives you free AOE heals on your fields and yourself to 300 hp, which helps make up for losing the AOE heal.

The battle is never truly over until all the medics are down. Combat medics (emphasis on combat) are often the biggest game changers in squad play for its ability to fight and revive. I found the section on point hold particularly helpful where dedicating yourself to a role based on the situation rather than mad swapping, which tend to get most medics killed. Though be prepared for "revive me" dm's in your chat:)

If you go for Carbine access with Medic, you can get the UBGL boop grenades. If you bunny hop at the end, it allows you to slide quite fast, and since you're shooting a carbine, jumping doesn't interfere with hipfire accuracy. It's like gimped Ambushers for ya Medic!

My favorite class. Some of the best feeling guns, awesome implants that synergize well, and the ability to tether my resist/carapace heavy buddy while he mowes people down. Plus getting paid everytime I throw a rez nade. Love this class

According to the wiki and patch notes, Nano regen device doesn't stack with restoration kits. One fun thing that you might want to try out in that spare loadout slot is the synergy between Symbiote and Shield Recharging Field. With the removal of Nanoweave, there are few ways to absorb an extra bullet in combat. This combo might let you absorb 2 more than normal.

Medic's rapidly becoming my second main (well, whenever I can actually play the game), it's such a fun class, and we always need more Medics. Note if you're VS: You might not want to use the Auraxium AR, even for the cure launcher. The Darkstar was already considered bad before the arsenal update, and now it's worse, because the devs decided to blanket-nerf heat-based weapons purely because of the Betelgeuse.

@@erayergi Eh, it's now closer to where it was before, but it was still already a bad gun. That's the frustrating thing about the heat nerfs: Most of the weapons that received the nerf weren't good enough to be used in the first place, let alone so powerful they needed a nerf.

on weapons: the starting Assault rifles are some of the best guns in the game. I love them all. The Cycler is my favorite, with the other 2 starting faction ones sharing a close second with the NS11. That said, I love the new variant Endeaver NS11 so much that I pretty much only use that one now.

Combat Surgeon and Carapace are a very good pair that it's hard to pass up, but if you sacrifice Carapace for Revenant, you can give all your revive targets additional survivability by giving them a couple seconds of cloak when they're revived. If you're playing sweaty, this is a really good loadout. That second of confusion when the body turns invisible is often the difference between life and death. Another fun loadout is Jihad medic. Run grenade bandolier, frag grenades, C4, an underbarrel grenade launcher and cortium bomb. I use this with Carapace and Combat Surgeon because kills with explosives from a distance trigger the bonus, but there might be some better implants to experiment with. The idea is to be more combat and less medic.

Dragoon with 2x to 4x scope, grenade bandolier, revive grenades, Nano-regen Focus as a mid range overwatch support. Take out baddies that might be using buildings or corners to harm your allies, and chuck grenades where they fell to get your team back up. If they need to fall back, or someone else comes looking for health, you can heal them without having to pull out your med gun. I typically take a Repeater, but any other pistol you're confident you can pull out and gun someone down point blank with is also viable.

For the unused loadout i think a more pointhold focused loadout with nade bando res nades and c4 could be useful. IIRC cik likes medics to run response jacket for the explosive resistance and c4 to break pushes, I personally run combat surgeon safeguard instead.

I was on last night, and have been online on/off since the game dropped day 1. I gotta say, 99% of people do not play medic, and of that subset most forget they need to revive people. The medics who know how to survive and revive? Those are the actual giga Chad's that decide if you win or not.

love the video! coudl you do a supplimental/companion video on combat medic prioritising between comnbat and rezzing? on miller we have the opposite problem now where combat medics forget they can even heal/rez people and leave MULTIPLE corpses behind around them. i myself am constantly switchign between fighting and rezzing becuase those 2 peeps i revived while the enemy is reloading have often meant we successfully push out and take the base, or reviving the defensive line meant other randos/units were able to flank and such. a couple times rezzing even though i know im abotu to die meant we were able to succeed overall anyway, hell 1 revive grenade thrown onto a failed push successfully broke an NC entrewnched defensive line. i feel like not enough people know enough about making that judgment call of when to switch to rezzing or combat and focus too much on one at the cost of overall effectiveness

Players on Soltech need to watch this. They really, really need it. Just last night, 7 medics didnt revive 3 dead teammates. They were literally standing on top of them. So I revived them myself.

Just as a note, next patch is going to fix the explosive ammo proble, now it will reduce damage by 125 (if i remember correctly) instead of to 250, as now weapons with 250 or less where "free" from this downside. Also, unity is the only reason why I am planning on expend my next ASP token on AR in my engineer, who said only medics can heal uh? xD

Never got any positive tell as a medic, even with single handed carried pushes where revives were easily over 30, bando with revive nades saved wipes two times and a group of 15 guys held a point vs a zerg. I did receive a rage tell from an infi dying somewhere outside the building that I didn't revive him when he so politely asked with "fuckign useless medic get here". So, we medics have that going on for us.

I question the need for resto kits and never using C4 besides a triage loadout. having an anti max tool as a medic is crucial for me when reviving teammates when last man standing, or giving a hand before throwing a rez nade on a point. being able to have consistent healing done by yourself and an underbarrel cure nade now makes the extra redundant. Fair loadouts for the rest.

Remember Just cause medic is in the name doesn’t mean you have to be super passive Your effectively the assault class of BF3 and 4 you have Medbags, BUT THATS NOT THE DAMN FOCUS OF THE CLASS you have an AR use it. Notable ARs for Players to use TR: TAR-good Fast Firing AR, TRV-I like to shoot fast, SABR-13 if you like accuracy NC: Gauss Rifle(S)-versatile as F, reaper DMR-200 damage round be damned, Vanquisher-A Damn FINE burst rifle a Single burst to the head Drops a MFER. NS: WTF ya like Use wtf ever for Secondaries

Tar and Trv for close range, torq for medium range

I don't like this way of playing for medics. The reason is they are literally meant to keep the fight going. They are supposed to be the backbone along with the engineers. I have had this playstyle be more of a detriment than an aid in most cases. Plenty of times I have been a Light Assault with 2 C-4 down in the middle of a group of enemies ready to be set off when I got up. It never happens because they are too busy shooting. I have also time after time watched medics let people bleed out because they are again too focused on shooting. Because of this what could be an earned victory or at the very least a stalemate turns into a defeat. This way of playing needs to die.
