Advantages of soft skateboard wheels

I switched from 99d 56mm Spitfire F4 Conical Fulls for pool and transition to 78a 56mm Ricta Cloud Chromes with the plastic core and I wish I'd switched over sooner! They ride so much nicer but that's just my opinion after 50 years of skating. 😉

Bro seeing your skate directly into that pothole was INSANE lol. I ride a volcano deck with a waterborne fin and rail adapter on about 65a 80mm wheels basically as a surf cruiser. I really don't like sliding my board around so big softies are good for me.

Hi, Orangatang Skiffs 60mm 86a is what I recommend they are similar to average skateboard wheels or you check out Longboard wheels ​in general. I am currently trying Powell Nano cubic in 58 mm and 97a combined with Avenue Trucks and soft riser pads the shock absorbing is awesome and your feet and legs won't get tired as with normal setup and you can skate as usual. @liam_dawson

I got some 85a wheels. They don't bounce as much and they're not sticky like other longboard wheels. Plus they have a design that makes it clear the trucks for grinds. They're the classic orange ones.

Couple things i noticed that The grippier the wheel the easier the bs powerslide compared to fs Also with grippy you want to place ur powerslides in corners rather than straights Holding out a big powerslide is easier with a soft wheel as long as theres enough speed Also duro doesnt mean everything my 94a divine wheels will be harder to initiate into slide than my g slides 85a or peewees 80-82a

it’s karma, glad you got some use out of the board!!! bear trucks were huge in my long boarding friend group in high school and they’re either made locally or they’re a local company i forget.

thats rad. These were really fun, but id enjoy more slides for sure
