Just recently got back into this used to skate as a kid never could get Ollie’s down but now here at 26 years old with about a month in when I can outside of work it’s been a blast. I’ve taken some gnarly falls but it just pushes me and motivates me more. Getting good height with my Ollies now for stepups! Taking it slow and steady

Never too old to start! Think about 35 from now landing your favourite tricks bolts 🙂

You're a beast damn. I was injuried for the past months and lost a lot of motivation to skate during the span of 4 months not skating! I really want to be 100% healed so that I can gain confidence in relearning old tricks again.

On my comeback path atm, after some annoying injuries making me feel less confident. What made me more inspired to skate more was the feeling after the session. I love feeling beat up after a cold shower, thinking about the tricks that felt good and thinking of what i want to work on. Thanks for the motivation Liam!

You should try skateboarding in a lucid dream. It's the funnest. It's literally like real life except you can also skate like a god

Lol sometimes i have skateboard dreams like that. The board is fully under control, i skate like in a movie😅.

its so weird to me how someone can look at someone doing such an impressive and cool looking trick and just keep doing what theyre doing without giving it any thought. Me personally even way before i used to skate i was still impressed by skateboarders.

True! A good analogy could be that it is a language they don't understand. Even if it is a physically difficult act.

Sick video man, thank you for the advice, sometimes I get in ruts and stop skating because I feel like I’m not progressing as fast as I should be, I gotta know though where is this beautiful park? It looks perfect…

Inspiring video , i struggle to find the motivation to skate when im lonely because i dont like the "skate fame vibe" in the city i moved in. BTW, what pants are u skatin?
@liam_dawson2 ай бұрын

quick question . Did you spend time to learn how to properly bail or fall while trying to learn new tricks.
@liam_dawson2 ай бұрын
I would say you develop technique after enough awkward falling. It might help to learn even before that.

Wait until you're 47 and starting again after 25 or so years🤣 Excitement is being able to roll around still let alone do anything. Skating was all I did in the 80s/90s. I'm currently working on front foot impossibles cause yolo swag🤣🤣Good video though man! 👊

I bought a skateboard yesterday it arrives tomorrow and imma try skateboarding, if i suck at it im using it as decoration lmao all the comments of inuried people are really off putting im almost 30 and i cant afford the injuries (update: I feigned falling from the skateboard and hitting my elbow against the concrete and yeah nah I think imma pass guys, one bad fall and my life is ruined and for what exactly, it's fun yeah but not worth it)
@liam_dawson2 ай бұрын
you got this! one step at a time start slow. getting comfortable with pushing is the first step for better control and fun !
@tmgmusicpro99732 ай бұрын
Pad up! Thats another key to faster progress... protect yourself from the falls while youre learning to control the board and dont be afraid of learning to do it 🤟🏽🛹⚡️go skate

yo i got back into skating at 26 this year, had a couple injuries but still going. having bills definitely stops me from doing crazier stuff but it gives you time to really dial in the fundamentals. my two major ones so far (torn ankle ligament+sprained foot and bruised fibula) were because i was skating above my ability. as long as you skate within your ability, be mindful of the hazards of whatever trick you're trying, and learn how to fall then you're gonna be good man. and always remember to have fun
@fireflameft29642 ай бұрын
@@bloodhoundsoldier7445 yeah for sure but to learn tricks you have to try doing things above your ability. If I'm 100% honest and rational I shouldn't do it and just try swimming instead or something like lmao. I skated one time so far and it was fun, I have some previous experience so atleast I know how to push and falling doesn't seem as easy as I was expecting but I can see the danger in one bad lapse of judgment or slip up.
