Powerslides for me are easier on fast speeds with medium to rough concrete, somewhere in thhe middle there. I just use the powerslide to take away speed if theres a hill. Its more like a powerslide, then turnback to keep riding, its helps me stop at low speeds and not get flat wheeled, it took a lot of cuts and scratches to learn so wear padding if your wanting to learn it, buts its a cool looking, and excellent way to lower your speed
@chonkyyeetus98273 жыл бұрын
Theres also 2 methods of stoping i learned outside of this video, 1st - the wheelbite. If you have loose enough trucks, lean hard to you right, the board will stop conpletely, only downside is you wont stop conpletely😬, 2nd - the pebble, the easiest one to do accidentally, i mean it does the job for you. So skill level : beginner, risk: Extremely high

Big tip: If you have Spitfire F4's and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on shoes, learn powerslides, those wheels basically never flatspot and are much cheaper than buying $70-$120+ shoes If you don't know how to do powerslides, try to put your foot flat on the ground in the foot slide so that the wear is distributed evenly around the shoe so you don't have a big bald spot on the shoe

Be careful on run outs newbies I was going down a hill fast and I got a death wobbles so I quickly went over to a sidewalk to ditch and when I was pulling a runoff The board went under my foot and slammed me down on the concrete and if it weren’t for my belt I would’ve broke my pelvis, thank God I didn’t hit my head, so pretty much watch your speed when doing a runoff you never want to go fast when doing it, Plus too much acceleration while running off can only make you fall straight forward never never do a run off while going down

This is one of the most well explained videos for how to stop on a skateboard. So glad I found it, now I can hopefully stop bailing every time I go down hills.

How about a video on how to fall. I recently dislocated my shoulder because i instinctively threw my arm out after my board slide out from under me. It wasn’t until after that that I found out that their is an art to bailing.

Awww man sorry to hear that! Most of my video all include “how to bail” so you can learn to bail or fall with out injury. Heal up man! Thanks Chris! 💙🛹💙

Am i the only ome who finds the foot drag to be kinda difficult? It just always feels so awkward to do
@SkateparkLessons11 ай бұрын
It is challenging to learn, pay attention to keeping your head and body weight over the foot that stays on the board and bend that knee to reach your drag foot to the ground. 💙🛹💙

Ahh, the knockout! I was injured by a skateboard because some guy did a kickout on a busy sidewalk. That's why you're not supposed to skateboard on sidewalks because it's dangerous for pedestrians.

Hi guys there's rarely any videos about this but where's any tips or tutorials for 30lb boards? My skatebolt tornado 2 is really heavy I can do run-outs but they're extra risky going 15mph luckily I'm extra careful and I'm getting my balance down but going into steeps or making sharp turns is really dangerous cuz I can't do slide turns. I'm really enjoying skating tho, I feel like electric skateboard is extra easy at some things and extra tough for other things.

Not long ago, I did a full speed run out down a small hill and I don't know how I didn't fall. I went from zero to full sprint in a blink of an eye. I had all my protections on and was ready to dive into the concrete and bite the dust. I survived. Playing basketball in my youth saved me, I guess LOL

Great video. My kid is getting into skateboarding. When I was a kid, the skateboards all had a hard plastic pad under the tail for braking. Just wondering why you don't ever see that anymore? Cheers from Australia.
@SkateparkLessons3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Stoppers were just unnecessary weight to the board and stopping on the tail is bad for the board. “Tails are for popping, not stopping” I really appreciate your kindness and support. I'd say that backside powerslide is high risk due to the fact that you can absolutely smash your head if you are going fast and get bucked

in antofagasta, chile..we usually just use the frontslide or foot drag to reduce the speed or get stopped by complete, it's nice to know new ways to stop in a city full of hills what i like the most is the frontslide but without getting stop, just to reduce speed in mid of a down hill
