Just wanted to let you know that watching this video was the inspiration for me to update my backpacking kit and take my first back country trip since around 1982. In fact my friend George and I recreated your trip. We spend Mother’s Day weekend on the Wild Cat and Swift Camp trails. As the weekend forecast was also kind of iffy, we think we may have been the only one’s camping in the Cliffy Wilderness Area that weekend. Only after returning from the trip did I realize we stayed at the same creek side camp site you stayed at on your second night. We found another incredibly nice site our second night. Your videos are so wonderful in that they invite us all the enjoy the experience not just beat out the miles or show off some collection of gear. The experience of challenge, endured with laughter of friendship, is what makes such adventures great.

After watching this, my wife and I did this hike last week. We managed to find that 2nd campsite by the creek and had it all to ourselves since we were there mid-week. A little chilly overnight, but super nice scenery the whole way! The dogs loved it too. We've camped down off the Swift Camp Creek trail before, but further up across the other side of the creek from the junction goes back up to the Angel Windows parking area. That used to be one of our favorite spots, but man - it gets pretty busy on the weekends. Still, a great spot during mid-week!

What I really like about these is you guys are out doing it for real. Each person has their own individual style and approach that has been changing and evolving. Great camera work capturing the moment and the trek, almost unparalleled out there on youtube. The videos don't in anyway come off like just another youtuber copying other youtubers, from an approach standpoint or gear standpoint. I can tell when some youtubers watch other videos then go and copy everything you learned from watching buy all the same gear, leave with the same mindset and try to apply hours of watching those vids in the woods. ....from the same trails to the same gear etc. The rest of us learned by going on trip after trip finding what we liked and learning what we needed to change and adapt to and growing and learning in the process. After watching a few of your videos I think thats what you guys are doing.
