I'm glad you made the distinction between what INRA and Salvation did before and what we are doing now. It would be great if we could just stop fighting, but we can't, so we need to do our best. In my mind, giving everyone a chance to escape and removing a source of Thargpower (manpower but more Thargoid) is a quick way to reduce the amount of fighting while reducing casualties and fatalities.

I don't care about Thargoid lives. Not one bit. But i do care about human lives and humanity in general. INRA's only crime was screwing over Jameson. That makes them bad guys, but their willingness to deploy the mycoid virus is A-OK in my book. (I respect that Jameson would disagree.) Salvation and Azimuth, however, are monstrous. They're mass murderers who should have the names of every person lost on the Alexandria and in the Cornsar system cut into them, then surrendered to the 'Goids. Hell, by actively sabotaging Aegis, they showed that their goal wasn't to defeat the Thargoids or protect humanity, but rather to feed their own narcissistic bloodlust.

You may be onto something there, but if so, then it's terrible writing on Frontier's part. In all the previous audio logs, the Wytch was shown to be a xenophobe above all else. He wouldn't put himself inside an alien machine. He might put himself inside a human machine, but never an alien one.

Huh? Where is it said that the FSD was reverse engineered from Thargoid tech? If anything, it's implied they THEY took it from US when the Titans arrived, to better be able to track human ships down. It's been a long known fact that Thargoids didn't NEED anything like supercruise before then, because of how accurately they can navigate Witchspace. And we had hyperdrives capable of jumping between systems long before the first appearance of the Thargoids, so I doubt that part is from them either, especially considering how much worse our version is than theirs. I really enjoyed the video as always, this line just caught me off guard.

fsd was reverse engineered by alliance from goids, however ftl travel was a thing before, using same engines that capital ships do. it's the fundamental reason for Sirius Corporation's growth & ownership of the Lucifer planet. Alliance originally had plans and the nonhuman equipment to produce the modern FSD, but the Club transferred the project to the Sirius Corporation last second as I understand it. @Rainbro35911 ай бұрын
Yup. Aegis are at best just a puppet of the powers, they escalated the initial war drastically with stuff like Operation "shoot everything that moves" Andronicus and then acted surprised when the Thargoids retaliated (against Aegis stations, in Thargoid territory, full of stolen Thargoid tech transmitting signals...) They talk a lot about understanding the Thargoids, but their actions are always of war. When we finally got proof that, yeah, the Thargoids were attacking because of the invasion of the Pleiades, Aegis just claimed it was "our space" and carried on regardless, invading Witch Head as well the moment the space oil ran out. They're also the main suspects for luring Thargoids into the bubble to trigger further attacks, with covert convoys of Thargoid tech and transmitters.

After we got fps it was no longer only a space sim. the money now is here: hold on: For the most new players, Frontier need to make foot mission to interact with the pvp combat (40%) wanted FPS (60%) wanted new ships. these i guess are 60% are like me.. played for a decade. They would like to see a option to eject from the spaceship in their suit. that comes along with the walk inside ship etc pack easy.. more money Frontier.. to begin with, this starport and settlement are great.. However. only a few have time /cash for this nice updates. If they want ED survive they rly do a mistake in the prio section cuz: they need new players.. gameplay thinker (this cant be wanted from the community) reason aare the community as me will keep play and evolve, well what about the new players. its a larger picture here: This is a update for the ELITE KINGS players to be honest, not a prio for new players, this does not make sense with Jumpstart packs to get new players for a long time progress. This updates are only good for us that played for 10 years. I love it, its just not for new players! Was not that the goal: cash >survive. old vett`s we love the game anyway including me, think smart Frontier.. Also maybe somehow Include the FPS foot /or missions to also merge PvP on foot (at least factions vs faction in settments . and if they can make us walk in those ships as they talked about before Odessy came (THEY DID NOT PROMISE).. that alone would make futures almost unlimited? they could then also sell so many items/skins for survival of ED, this game could go for 10 more years if done in the correct prio.. they have a money machine, they still don`t do it right to survive with new players for long term here. However i LOVE ED. i played 5700 hours and i plan to play 5000 more. Also i support that people can pay to get a start, else this game would die. so thats something a real old vett should love. i support that and i buy that . ONLY cuz ED/Frontier gaved me so much for 65$ in about 10 years. About paint jobs.. for their own good as well.. the paint jobbs are way to expensive. they will earn more with many micro than a few bigger! They should now that the world works lioke that at leastr still it is.. Strange Frontier dont sell this stuff Its very useful to feel like u play a 2025 game, so download EDHM UI.. cuz Frontier don`t sell it.. Its a simple setup install file now and ur ship would look as u like, also menus in the starports etc. and u feel personal. i feel like my ship is from a starwars imperial. Now thats free... , its so importen to have a ship inside look fricking personal and new! The old orange away from almost everything in the game, sure looks much better! i think this sound like a good plan for ED. Or and start produce another ED game could be awsome too. ready for 2028. xD

@@Сталкер-ь2х That's true. That also took almost a year before any of that new equipment made it to sale though. If they wanted to make players WANT to fight Thargs, they really had to rely on players wanting to do it. For me, AX combat seemed like a turn off from what I wanted since normal space combat was already an issue I was running into with what I did have. I know the devs had a lot on their hands, but between Thargs and the poor performance of Space Legs at the exact same time, I didn't really have a desire to get wrapped up in what felt like a game of futility. But that's just my opinion.
@NoXion10011 ай бұрын
Fighting the Thargoids is completely optional. You'll never even see one if you steer clear of the relative handful of systems where they're present. I avoided AX combat entirely until a few days ago. Too specialised and separated off from the rest of the game to entice me to try. Then certain AX modules began being sold for credits, and since I have enough of those I gave it a go and you know what, it's not as bad as I thought. But if you want to carry on giving the angry space flowers a miss, then the galaxy, hell even just the bubble, is more than big enough to accommodate that. I didn't even get into the human PvE combat until I had at least a thousand hours under my belt and had undertaken an expedition to the other side of the galaxy and back. I amassed enough credits to buy a carrier, plus years of upkeep for it, and still have billions left over for rebuys. I'm still not liking the look of ship-to-ship PvP combat outside of CQC/Arena; maybe that will change with the advent of PowerPlay 2.0. Even if it doesn't and PvP remains a no-go, there's still loads of other things to do. I hope you reconsider at some point because I feel like Elite Dangerous has a lot to offer, even if one might not enjoy everything in it.

@@NoXion100 I'll be truthful, part of me just wanted them to add some stuff to parts of the game I was interested in. Mostly, the ships. I'll probably be back as soon as I find out where to go to get the new Python 2. The Python was a fun ship to fly, and I'd love an updated version of it.
