Accidentally learning about Toaru, got me invested to the story, characters, power system and eventually the LN. Can't wait for the future of Toaru and hope we get answers of Aiwass's existence, the origins of first Magic Gods, the secret chiefs, the resolution and existence of the other phases and what is Imagine Breaker's connection to the Invisible thing and the Dragons. I don't want the phases that exist in Toaru to just be referenced instead of traveling or looking into it more. I want the Index manga get to WW3 already.

I'm so amazed how well this series sells in Japan but outside of it I rarely hear people talking about Index unless they're steeped deep in the Otaku culture. Kind of crazy.

@@AeonofHorus lmao! bros don't know Kamijou Touma as he is such a high school student that he has no apparent abilities (so Kamachi insists for 20 years). The complicated thing is that I choose to cosplay characters like Subaru Natsuki for example, who is also just a random guy but who is the protagonist :V Touma and Subaru's clothes and appearances are completely normal...

I am truly blown away with the amount of writing and stories that encompass this world. How on earth has Kamachi been able to crank out so much story telling and different branching stories and not lost his mind due to overwork. Video like this really does showcase how grand of a world and how much work over the years has been put into this. It really is to bad that the anime series did not get more love. It really should be bigger then it is in the west, but back then anime was more popular then manga and LN stories. I firmly believe if this series was remade it would skyrocket in likeability and demand. It most certainly is not easy following everything especially for those of us who are unable to follow it with conventional means. That is why videos like this help tremendously to fill in the gaps or give solid recaps to info we may have missed. I would love a 4th season of Index, but to be fair, what we really need is a remake, with the series done proper and staying more true to the LN's. Aside from that, it really is mind bending how Kamachi is still a bit of a mystery. When taking his work into account, you would think we would have seen what he looks like by now and get some actually interviews of him. Since writing while in school till now you would have thought something would have slipped out by now. It is extremely difficult now a days to stay hidden away with so many people online and different types of social media. I know how to disappear and can live very well off the grid but Kamachi certainly has this down on a very respectable level. I hope the stories keep coming and we actually get a reveal in our lifetimes of this amazing artist / writer. On another note, keep these kick butt videos a coming, I learn so much from them all the time. The entertainment and comedy style is gold.

Toaru series will never truly die as long as fans are still out there. Could you take a look at Spice and Wolf now? It already has a reboot faithfully. True fans will continue to buy the copy. Yen Press is doing great work in spreading to Western fans. It is indeed overtaken by the Isekai genre these days. In terms of original genre concept & potential, Toaru series is the one that stands out when Isekai isn't introduced to the light novel industry. Basically, Toaru is already the king of the light novel for the original genre during the old golden era competing with the prime SAO.

Its crazy to think that we are at the 20th anniversary and for me almost 10 since i got into it (2014 the anime and 2016 the novels and manga), being a spanish fan i wish I could show this to my friends so they undertand the greatness of toaru as a whole. It's my favorite fictional universe and that doesn't seem to change any time soon. I actually don't care if it never reaches te popularity of other novels in the west, it makes this franchise one for those with taste and culture rather than the all time favorite full of people that just follow a trend. Still I want it to recieve the treatment it deserves, I've thought for a while the fact that the gatcha game has more care and quality than the whole index anime is not only sad but frustating. Nevertheless I'm so excited for everything that will be announced this year, having both GT and anbu no ITEM is making this year stacked with PEAK though.

BTW not sure if your familiar with him, But Brandon Sanderson is basically the Western Writer counterpart to Kamachi, multiple magic systems in his work, expanded universe, his writing is often criticized for his lack of "prose," and he's also known for having the same consistency and borderline compulsion to write where its become a meme within the Western Fantasy Literature fandom.

Hey Aeon. How are you doing? I had a thought about what I would really like to happen for this 20th anniversary. Season 4 of the anime would be fantastic, but I would be thrilled to get a full cast recording of the light novels. I heard that that is being done for the Harry Potter series and I can't help but wonder what that would be like for the Index series. It has been incredible listening to the audiobook versions of the Spice and Wolf series. Just a thought.

To me what makes the Railgun series more popular than it's main source matheriar is that the SPR system is *WAY* better writen than the magic one, at least in the anime, instead of throwing off disconected religious beliefs the scietific side explore many conseps on a unic way and tie them up on a coesive scenario. Also, Mikasa actually got a fair amount of character development in both series while Index became an annoying mascot after her introduction arc was over, unsurprisingly making Mikasa the most popular heroine.
@natanielflores81417 ай бұрын
Nah, everyone knows that it's popularity is thanks to the director adapting Railgun like it was a moeshit, cute girls doing cute things anime, and shitted in the source material.

@@AeonofHorus Spoiler! In case you haven’t seen it yet. Touma vs Accelerator should’ve been the most one sided fight in anime fights, I mean seriously! Dude can control vector, basically entire world is under his control yet he loses to someone with no powers! Sure you could say that Touma’s power cancels out other ESPERS’s abilities, but Accelerator could’ve literally toss a slab of concrete into Touma’s face and there you go! Time to go home a take a dump on the toilet and say what a waste of time and call it the day! Honestly I could go on and on about him but you get the point! Putting the light novels aside, the railgun story is more interesting than index because imagine breaker takes away all interest in what's going on. You have all these cool powers and this character negates them is the epitome of boring. The only time I particularly hated the railgun anime,was during an arc where Misaka said " you shouldn't use violence against women" Which was a stupid and hypocritical statement. Between her personal actions, the kind of series it is. And saying don't hurt my friends made more sense...
