Aerial Hoop Beginner Poses and Transitions

Lyra can often be a little intimidating for beginners. Here are my 5-ish basic poses and their transitions to get you started.
When I first started my journey, I found that I would do a pose and come down. Do another pose and come down. I struggled with stringing poses together into an aerial sequence. SO! I have included not only poses but their transitions thus creating a sequence for you!
These poses can be mix matched and arranged in a different order. I empower you to get creative and see if you can figure out other ways to recreate this sequence. As always, I would love to see what you come up with so tag me on instagram!

Notes of Caution
ALWAYS USE A MAT
Utilize a spotter when necessary
Practice new things lower to the ground
NEVER hesitate to ask for clarification from your instructor
If you feel unsure or unsafe please back out safely and come down
Make friends, be positive! Aerial is an ART not a competition.
