Aerial view - Walkaround : Abandoned Malthouse and Residential Homes South West Victoria Australia

We explore an abandoned Malthouse factory or storage facility and 2 derelict residential homes on the same site. I doubt the homes will be saved, but the factory / storage structure could have potential for other businesses to use.

Thats an impressive old bus collection, sitting there beside the railway line, rotting away,, unfortunately.,

Have to agree, as some could be restored or even converted to motorhomes ... If you look to the right of that area, there does appear to be an entrance and maybe an office where the vw convertible is parked up !

I used to drive past those houses with all the crazy stuff outside and mean to pop in to ask what was going on.

I did the same and a year ago the caretaker gave me a run down about the place and I finally explored there ... If you know where the Ripcurl and Quiksilver outlet stores are in Torquay, you'll find VERY similar buses and artwork at a second hand store across the road there !!!!

the sink and pedestal in that scummy bathroom are highly sought after items in house salvage yards. i didnt see anything else of value, especially the asbestos in the walls of those 2 houses.

vintage house fittings appears to be making a come-back, but surmice the houses might be bulldozed and large factory could be repurposed

@@urbanaerialexplorer1885,some demo companies will put the sink in their yard. as for the houses, they will get picked over very carefully for all that asbestos sheeting. the buildings are old enough that its likely to be blue asbestos. then they will get junked quick-smart. they might leave the floor boards because of all the asbestos. and old floor boards are valuable. the factory buildings will more likely get trashed too. i used to do this sort of stuff.
