Awesome 😃🤙🏽 Can’t really go wrong with either, they both make a great cup of coffee ☕️😊

You can reuse the fillers a few times. Also worth watching the video where the inventor demonstrates the ‘proper way’ to use it Also worth looking up James Hoffmann video on it. You can make more than one cup at a time. Put two scoops for two cups almost making a concentrated coffee, then add more water to the cup to dilute to taste.

Cool thanks! 👊🏽😊 Yeah I was watching some stuff on it actually and it’s pretty crazy lol some people really take it super seriously! 😃 Haha there are like competitions and stuff for the best recipes and techniques! It’s wild! 😁 We definitely knew there were going to be many different ways to dial it in, but for the first cup right out of the box it wasn’t bad. 😎🤙🏽

The thickness you sense from the French press comes from the oils that the paper filter filters out of the coffee. I wonder if you used the metal aeropress filter if it would have those same oils.

Thanks for the video. I've been using the French Press based on your recommendation but have also been eyeing the Aeropress as of late. Going to give it a try when things warm up and we can camp again.

Interesting comparison, what if you used course ground coffee in the areopress if it would change the taste ? Sorry like I’ve said said I’m a pour over coffee fan, it’s definitely not as full flavored as a French press but the clean up is so easy especially when you use a drip filter in it. Keep the great videos coming. ❤
@WhereWeWild Жыл бұрын
We were wondering the same thing! 😁 We have to experiment with it a bit more for sure. Might not have enough time to soak and extract flavor course ground, but we will see. Haha not bad though for out of the box I’ll tell, tasted pretty darn good… but yup exactly clean up is so huge! That’s probably the main reason we were impressed. And thanks! ☺️🤙🏽

I have used my original aeropress for years now and I always prefer it over any other coffee maker when I go camping. It's unfortunate though because the original Aeropress included a zip storage bag, a large funnel to pour the coffee grounds, a much larger quantity of the paper filters (I haven't even run out yet) and a paper filter holder. I recently bought a second one and my new Aeropress doesn't come with any of that!
@WhereWeWild9 ай бұрын
Oh really? They do sell a couple kit type packages still I think, but yeah the original is just sort of bare bones. 🤷🏻♂️

Have used both of these methods extensively over the years. Aero Press easier to clean, but makes one cup. Think Aero Press has less ‘fiber’. Think taste difference is just personal preference.

I’m not sure if I missed something but you used one heaping in the Aeropress and 6 scoops in the french press. Did you use more coffee per cup in the french press? I do appreciate not using a scale since most people just want a cup of coffee without the science and math!!!
@WhereWeWild2 ай бұрын
I don’t remember exactly what we did in this video off the top of my head honestly haha but the French press makes multiple cups of coffee where the aeropress only makes one at a time so that’s probably why. 😊 Also with the French press it kind of just depends on how strong you like it too. 🤙🏽
@tomtrostel4091Ай бұрын
For years I’ve made 1 3/4 cup (450ml) of coffee every morning with an Aeropress. Use the inverted method with extra grounds. Add extra hot water to the coffee concentrate.
@hudsonrilke24 күн бұрын
I think you didn’t give the aero press a long enough steep and you were a bit random with the amount of coffee used where you were exact with the french press. I think you give that too long to brew. But hey, you will experiment and it’s your preference that matters. I have aeropress, just wish it were bigger. They have XL now.
@WhereWeWild24 күн бұрын
@@hudsonrilke Yeah probably this was the first time we tried it if I remember correctly, works great we like it!

Just a tip for safety AND flavor, use a wooden spoon when stirring your French press. A metal utensil can damage the carafe and the wood spoon keeps the natural flavors untainted.

Right on 😊🤙🏽 Haha I still wonder about all the plastic involved in the Aeropress.

Haha nice yeah maybe if you have your technique down to a science. 👊🏽😎 Feel like the average person now days might have a hard time getting it consistent and find the loose grounds floating around a little rough and unappealing. Clean up ain’t too pretty either. 😁 But hey to each their own! 🤠☕️

Aeropress is clearly the winner. You should try the inverted method. And also try tons of aeropress recipe on the internet.q

Moka Pot. Easy to use, easy to clean, you can use drip grind, and only 1 part to lose. GSI makes a press that's heavy plastic, and the plunger is 1 piece. Ditto Stanley boil and brew, but it's metal and the coffee goes cold QUICK. But, you do get another pot! Have y'all tried cowboy coffee? Just for sh##s and giggles. Go to Kent Rollins. Yeehaw!

@@charlestait5303 Yeah it works pretty well! If you look into it they say the polypropylene that they use is BPA free, FDA and EU approved and food safe. Not really too worried about it honestly, especially since it’s not something we use every day for our coffee. Can always just go with the steel or glass French press! 😊🤙🏽
