Great video. I'm an experienced weightlifter for years but altogether ignored cardio - I just completed week one of Couch to 5K and I couldn't believe how out of shape I actually was in terms of aerobic ability. I could barely make it back to my car after day 3...but the mood elevation afterward is like nothing else I've experienced.

Solid Job! It challenging and a big ego check going from something your familiar with (Lifting) to something new. I joined a run group and I am one of the slowest at 10 minute mile pace for my long runs. Keep at it! I went from that 5K to doing the San Francisco Half Marathon this weekend

do you know if it counts the distance of the cool down and warm ups? im currently doing 5.4k in the 20 min non stop run (with some downhill sections) which sounds like a lot
@Aesthetic_Al2 жыл бұрын
on the app I used, yes it would count both the warm up and cool downs.

If you can already run a 5 k , would you say it’s still useful for helping you pickup speed ? Or is it solemnly focused on been able to run a 5k at whatever speed ?
@Aesthetic_Al2 жыл бұрын
If you can run a 5k already this app probably isn't for you. Strava is a good tool to log your activity and connect with a community. If you are looking for running programs more advanced than a 5k. Run with Hans is a popular one to train for half marathon or full.

Would this be a good app to use for obese individuals that can jog, walk and run short distance or would it be recommended to use an easier program

This is a very late response so it’s more for people who may later find the video and your comment, but to me, yes. I’m 250lbs at 6’2, and while I lift often I’m not all fat, but even 1 minute was challenging at first. I’m on week 5 day 2, with day one being a 5, 8, and 5 minute run which was one of my best runs. The important thing is to due a pace that you can maintain, and don’t think about speed. That comes later.

There's probably some additional features and no ads that make it worth buying. I use NRC and strava for my runs.
