Really liking Jace here, he is just a chill dude trying to prevent his friend's house of being stripped of what made it so important to his friend in the first place Sure, it's still weird that he is on the Zendikar set, but hey, I thought it was weird he was on Ixalan, and yet Ixalan Jace is among my favourite characters in Magic, so hopefully it wil turn out like that

Honestly compared to what we've been given, it seems like all characters are getting good characterization. Especially Akiri and Zareth. The side stories are pretty goof

MTG story is getting weaker and more predictable each passing playset. I loved the old sagas. They were really deeper into the lore and discovery. But at least, Aether, your awesome storytelling skills makes it fun to listen to. Great fan of the channel!

It sounds like they're planning to release a Zendikar setting for D&D. I wouldn't be surprised if they're reserving their better writers for that. MTG stories might be getting the worst writers they have. 😓

I think that Nahiri is going to forcibly summon Ugin to Zendikar as part of her revenge, to try to force Ugin to help her stop the Roil, or she will trap him like they did to the Eldrazi before.

Nahiri is going to keep winning on Zendikar and just when it seems like Nissa has lost, Sorin will show up and kill Nahiri. They're throwing away Nahiri. Setting her up as the BBEG.

I'm kind of sad that my kor girl might be going evil I mean it's not really evil she just wants to protect it but he's kind of going out the wrong way but I would be interested to see if Jace actually gets a different color scheme going on

@@bloodfest8510 what does the amount of walkers have to do with good story telling. Keep in mind im referring to only the story. Not the cards .. Also did you read war of the spark? Horrible 3rd grade level of book writing. To many characters, that a guy very unfamiliar with the lore and people in the story and to condense into one book. It was to ambitious ... Like shoving all 11 star wars movies into 1. Or all 6 lord of the rings movies into 1. It just doesn't work. Zendkiar rising is focused mostly on Nahiri, Jace and nissa. We know their history and what they want and can follow them on this journey with the attention they require. We don't need to jump in story to see what 16 other big main mtg characters, who probably need more than 1 brief sentence to explain what they are doing and how they know other people/think of the others. War of the spark could of been spread out into 3 books easily and I guarantee would of been at least 25% better.

Its fair but its kinda like the writing form. On avengers endgames final fight, you barely get to focus on all the fighters, and moreso on the key ones.

@@bloodfest8510 that is true. But we had build up in those movies and the story was put together better even if fight scenes are chaotic. War of spark alot happened off screen so to speak. When did Ral take control of his guild. What or who killed Niv mizzet. What lead up to Vraska killing the Azorious Guild leader and Dovan Bann taking control. How did the gate watch pre pair for the invasion.. But I digress, its just me lol ive met plenty who liked war of the spark. I was just hoping for more after having to pay for the book.

I ment, that he was gonna ressurect (untrap) himself on innistrad and reek havok, one cause of nahiri and her grudges, and two because one set on werewolves side of attacks and vampires, since they are seperated on innistrad and emrakul cant take the places at the same time.

Nissa is about to fall to the dark side of the force trying to save the plane she loves! She is going to massacre a bunch of Nahiri's youngling friends! She will even get into a fight with her mentor Jace! But he will have the high ground. And Nissa will forever after end up wearing a Garruk helmet to hide her hideously disfigured face.

So this article goes against the trailer?? I feel like wotc has a bunch of flavor/storytelling fails in this set. In the trailer we see Nahiri with Akiri and Zeren get the key but in the article she has it when she meets them? Idk what wizards is doing anymore they're such a mess

I'm pretty sure the orb in the trailer is the core that she hired the party to get. That the trailer is set further along than the story start. Like how the WoTS trailer happened near the end of the story instead of the start
