I know that AEV alters the axle placement by 1" or 1.6". Could this be done and keep all of the other CARLI suspension stuff and fit 39's or 40's? Really just want just a 3" or 3.5" lift but have the ability to put on 40's. Would cutting the fenders be needed?

Sadly no. AEV relies on the use of the factory parts with relocation brackets and heavy cutting of the body work with their high mark flares to fit 40s. Even with the cutting and 40s, the Carli systems have too much travel and articulation to properly cycle a 40” tire without contact on the firewall and inner fender supports on a Ram truck.

You're thinking the same thing I am. Still wanting to do the AEV kit, and also swap the factory radius arm for aftermarket ones with another inch of length. Pushing axle forward a total of 2.5 inches. It's the track bar hitting the differential then. I need to move the frame side trackbar mount forward a couple inches. That's the biggest holdback for me. Should be able to go 39" tires without fender cutting if axle goes forward enough. Most replacement bumpers give enough room up front. I've been dreaming about doing this for almost 2 years now...

How does this suspension package work with pulling a 29ft travel trailer is there a lot of sag? I was wondering if you can add the factory rake look to this kit if so I think that will fix the sag look?

The rear coils on this system have a 15% decrease in payload over the factory set up. For your case, we'd recommend the Carli Pintop leveling system. It has the same 2.5 king shocks tuned to keep the factory rear coils and factory payload.

Ok, so on my ‘22 Ram 2500 HD…. I bought from CJC and installed myself the Carli front coils (leveling), Fox 2.0 tuned shock absorbers, Carli: torsion sway bar, track bar, radius arms and radius arm drops…. Why did I not know I needed Pin-tops? I know I’m new to this, but why bother selling me the Fox 2.0 shocks like that was gonna be good enough? 🤣🤣🤣

Could've done the AEV front coil bottom perch to put the Carli stuff on, along with the rest of the front end draglink and etc steering components that keep better center of gravity with the bigger tires. Which allows up to 41" tires if and when desired.

Sadly that doesn't work. Their relocation will not work with Carli, Thuren or any other aftermarket suspension parts and cycle properly. It will ONLY work with stock coils, and their included relocation and suspension parts. The trade off is that you have less suspension travel than a stock truck.

​@dodgedude9087 the AEV kit pushes the radius arm 1.6" forward to allow 40s. They also require heavy trimming of the pinch weld at the cab to clearance 40s. However, you're stuck with 17x8.5s with a 4.82-5" bs on the wheels. 4.82" happens to be both of AEVs wheels options

@megacab109 right. I stated all I said because I understood all you said too. I probably could work it a little differently not needing to hack the pinch weld, etc. I ran 37s no lift on stock 18s, and now 38x13.50r18 Toyo MT'S on them with only 3.5 lift. If only AT's, probably would not rub. No cutting anything, rubs only barely slightly radius arm and sway bar on tightest turn.

The Carli suspension is going to offer a massive improvement in ride quality and capability over AEV, since their system essentially retains factory ride. The catch is that 40s are not possible with a Carli system because of the amount of travel they cycle. With AEV flared you can fit a 39” BGF, but that’s the limit. AEV is able to fit a 40, but it comes at the cost of ride quality and travel.

I am planning to switch my 1500 rebel to 2500 rebel with air suspensions, and add 20 inch wheels with 38 tires so that i could lower it, do you recommend i go with air suspension or coil springs to fit your carli?

We highly recommend coil suspension if you plan to spend any time off road. The air suspension is great for daily driving on pavement, but doesn't perform well or work reliably off road.

@@CJCOffRoad thank you for your reply, i don't go offroad a lot so majorly daily driving and a bit towing. what about some lowering coil springs (don't like the look) that could work well with Carli or bilstein shocks which will fit the AEV fenders and bumpers?

There's not a way to fit 38s while lowering the truck. If the goal is 38s, we recommend a 3.25" Carli system with stock fenders and then AEV front/rear bumpers. That will get you the "stuffed" fender look without the hassle of trying to mix and match stuff.

It really comes down to the limitations of the front suspension design on the GM trucks. That torsion bar IFS set up has very limited travel and ride improvement without some major changes. I could see Carli doing it one day, but their bread and butter for now is the solid axle Ford and Ram trucks!

Ive got a 2019 ram 3500 with the full AEV package hi-mark fenders 40's and bumpers. I would like to have the full carli catalog thrown at it. Could it be done? I'd pay you guys good for it and you guys could feature it on the channel or not I don't care either way as long as it can be done. I would love for the suspension to be the carli E venture

Unfortunately once a truck has the AEV suspension package on it, you need a fabricator to reverse the permanent changes required with that kit and allow the truck to go back to stock coil buckets to run a Carli system.

Dang, I've tried. I wished you guys put up a similar set up to AEV i.e the fenders and 40" tires but with the full carli system. I love the way my truck looks but I'd carli had a package like it the I would of got it instead. Ill just have to keep dreaming I guess.

The ball joints will, but nothing else will. AEV is tough since their systems involve a lot of permanent modification! it's very possible to go to a Carli system, you just need a fabricator to make it happen.

Do you know if Carli Shocks and Coils will work on the AEV Dual Sport Suspension Axle Relocate kit?

They will not. None of the AEV suspension will mix with carli. In fact, it is impossible to put carli suspension on a truck that already has AEV because of the coil bucket modification AEV requires. If you want to push the axle forward with Carli suspension to run 40s, we recommend using the Synergy MFG radius arm drops.

The AEV system is going to be a more basic set up, and uses off the shelf Bilstein shocks. This system is the best on and off road ride you can possibly get from these trucks, with specifically tuned King shocks, custom rate coils, and only the highest quality bushings, joints, and hand fabricated supporting parts. This truck is our perfect combo of AEV's looks with Carli's suspension performance!

My question is, did you have to drill the holes for the front proximity sensors? 2 yrs ago I was ready to buy this same bumper for my 2017 RAM 2500, and when I spoke to a lady over the phone when I was ready to order it, I asked her if the bumper came pre drilled for the sensors, she told me no, so then I asked if I can drill the holes, and she told me that I could not! She did not help me much as to maybe they could have transfered me to a tech, but she flat out said no. So, they lost that sale. Mind you that bumper is not cheap either.

Plenty of love for Power Wagon owners! Carli Suspension has a Hemi specific coil and shock setup that rides on and off highway better than the factory Power Wagon. The track bar, sway bars, and radius arm joints are all designed to far out live the factory joints. It is definitely an upgrade over stock!

Actually the Carli 3.25" coils sit taller than the 2.5" Thuren coils. Both of those measurements come from base 2500 trucks.
